Numerical Synchronicities

Long before the Jim Carrey flick about The Number 23, I had a wallop of synchronicities involving the number 47. I eventually came across a Yahoo group called The 47 Society.

While all of that is a story unto itself, for the past 24 hours or so I seem to be having a new one. I met a wild girl yesterday who I expect I am going to be having a lot of fun with. She reminds me a lot of a crazy dangerous yet awesome girl who has been extricated from my life after about 2 years of drama. Friend or more I don't know exactly; almost certainly both, but this girl and I are going to be having some laughs. She had me guess what her favorite number was and of course it's 13. I asked another girl online for her number yesterday, which she eventually gave me, but first she e-mailed that it was, simply, 13! :^) I was in traffic today and spent a little time behind a fire truck: "Ladder number 13." In a convenience store later I noticed these scratchers that were Lucky 13. It's going to be a new chapter with this one crazy cool girl I can tell. Anyone else have number related or other synchronicities?

 

Oh, and then there is the conversation that I was having here this morning with Evil13. :^)

 

My favorite number is 13.

My full name comes out to 6.1.6 using numerology/gemetria which is the number of the anti-christ.

 

Cool. Thanks for sharing, Bl4ck3n3D. I am a bit curious about numerology because I have so much of this stuff. When I have time I could go into the 47 thing in more detail. It's kind of weird.

 

I see the number 9:11 on clocks all the time. Like, it will be night and randomly I'll be like, hmmm, what time is it or someone will ask me and sure enough it's 9:11.

 

Hey, cmiovino. Yeah. There is also 11:11 and stuff like that. I read an article in a pararnormal magazine called T.A.P.S. about how 11 is supposed to be a very relavent number. Looking at the 47 thing, 4 plus 7 equals 11. It's possible to get too carried away with it all for sure. :^)

 

Careful, they say numbers will drive you crazy.

Numbers are the universal language, almost everything can be boiled back down to numbers.

You know I have had times where I was getting too caught up in it, and I have interacted by e-mail with members of The 47 Society who were climbing the walls over it, but I generally seem to be able to keep it under control. Doesn't have to end like The Number 23, I don't think. Thanks for the advice, though.

 

I see 9:11 and 11:11 constantly. no matter where i am, i always have to glace at my clock at that exact time. i hate it, freaks me the hell out

 

I had some 11s today, and a pretty high number of 47s. Like a lot of them, mostly on license plates. But I'm not crazy. No. Really! :^)

I agree. A lot of people seem to react that way, but synchronicites eroded my cynicism long ago. I just see them as the cosmos giving you a wink.

 

The number 9 has for a long time been significant with me. To me 9 is about the great goddess and her triple goddess form. I was given the numbers '9 and 19' in a dream once ... a bit of research told me that these two numbers are to do with the lunar year and the great solar year, ... feminine and masculine respectively. House numbers and phone numbers have been significant for me also. I do think the collective unconcious uses numbers as a language at times.

 

9 is the perfect number.

 

I really do think that this is rubbish. its a number for godsake, just a number a number..... a number! we all have sycronicities every day all over the place about everything, but who cares? life is going to run its course whether you notice these things or not.

Numbers are universal though, they can be linked to almost everything. It's more than just a coincidence.

 

Throughout your day you will see thousands of numbers, they are everywhere, clocks, cookers, road signs, number plates, everywhere.
The reason you think you see a particular number a lot is simply because you fail to realize how many other numbers you have also seen that day.

Its the same thing as when you think of someone and then they call just when you was thinking about them.
You wasn't thinking about them because you somehow knew they was going to call, you just fail to realise that you think about 100s of people 100s of times a day, so its actually quite likely for that to happen at some point.

Its called selective thinking, i'm not saying that theres nothing paranormal in this world i'm just saying that hell of a lot of it can be put down to things like selective thinking and other phycological things.
