Is anyone a fan? Such beautiful music.

I love their made-up language.

 

i love these guys. they sound like soundtrack music

 

Awesome Band! I love the language they have i think its a totally new way of expressing vocals you dont know wha there saying but you know whatever it is.... its gorgeuos

 

I alos just cant get over how powerful they sound even if its really sow and calm its so emotional and just powerful

 

Yeah I like Sigur Ros as much as the next guy but I bought that dvd they just released a while ago and was watching it with some broad and she laughed at how much the dude sounds like miss piggy.

I haven't been able to get miss piggy out of my head whenever I hear them now. I can't do it. I had to swear to myself not to listen to them for a few months so it would go away. I'm fucking worried and pretty fucking pissed off about the prospect of losing them to a fricken muppet.

 

a guy at my university lend me his sigur ros cd and man i was astounded when i heard the music, crazy stuff man! it really is!

 

I absolutely ADORE Sigur Ros. Untitled 1 is my favorite. :]

 

I've loved them forever. Mum is amazing as well if you like icelandic stuff.

that language was actually made up a long time ago, and is called icelandic

 

Hahaha wow, I'm not that stupid.

About half of their songs are sang in a made-up language called Hopelandic, and the other half in Icelandic. Google it, it's actually really interesting.

and I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence, I could see how someone might think icelandic is a made up language :lol:

 

They have a full documentary of Sigur Ros on you tube that is worth checking out. There really are one of a kind. There needs to more music like this as in just doing their own thing that is truely your their own thing. Something that will sound fresh from years to come.

I had the pleasure of seeing them live a few years ago. Totally amazing live band as well. Unfortunately I'm not getting into the new album...

anyone heard the 'relatively' new release of theirs? Its good so far. Two songs in to a serious listen, but I'm surprised by what they've done, which is different.

 

yes, i love sigur ros. i had a cd a long time ago, but i can't find it now. i keep meaning to get it again on amazon, cause i think it would be great massage music... i'm going to look it up now.
