anyone listen to white rabbit while blazing? If you havent heard Jefferson airplane look them up on youtube. White rabbit is a great song. It was on Platoon when Sheen got high for the first time.

That song was awesome the first billion times I heard it. Now I usually turn it off if it comes on the radio. I love their album: the worst of jefferson airplane (it's called that.) You should check it out.

 

Jefferson Airplane was nice in the 60's but most of the 70s and 80s stuff I didnt like.

awesome! I never had that one on vinyl, but I used to have a HUGE vinyl collection. i finally sold it though for like 50 bucks to some guy when I needed some money. Then i sold my turntable too.

 

great song..a classic too. sounds even better on psychedelics. somebody to love is a great song as well.

 

embryonic journey on psychedelics is good, i just wish it was longer.

oh i forgot a bout "lather". on mushrooms that song gave me a lot to think about and some audio hallucinations. good stuff.

 

White Rabbit is great but even on Surrealistic Pillow there are better songs, Today, Somebody to Love, Plastic Fantastic lover, She has Funny Cars

 

Holy shit, they just used White Rabbit in the commercial for Lost Odyssey for 360. It didn't really fit, but the game looks awesome.

 

that doesn't neccesarily mean that's what it's about. it says in the beginning "one pill makes you larger, one pill makes you small, the ones that mother gave you don't do anything at all." mushrooms aren't pills. if the song was specifically about mushrooms, a more logical line would be "one cap makes you larger, one stem makes you small, the cow shit that they grow in doesn't do anything at all."

 

i agree 100%. one of my favorites from my favorite band of all time. I also like martha, mexico, and plastic fantastic lover.

ive had really memorable experiences on psychedelics while listening to when the earth moves again and have you seen the saucers.

 

just a note: i think that the whole "smaller" and "larger" thing is about how you view yourself in the world while your tripping. sometimes you feel big and powerful, and other times you realise your just a little speck that has no signifigance what so ever. just a thought, and although it's probably wrong, this is just what i think those lyrics mean.

 

i agree to an extent^ i think a lot of people make reference to the parts in alice in wonderland where she keeps changes sizes..
