Alright opiates usually never give me a problem but they are right now. It is now 11:30 p.m. and I have had a total of 100 mg. of oxy today. For the past two weeks I have been taking about an average of 60 to 80 mg. a day, closer to 80 though. I took my last 20 mg. today at around 5:00 p.m. I have been nodding off pretty much all day and I guess I fell asleep a little when I was watching t.v. around 8 my mom said. Right now though I feel very strange, dreamlike almost and I feel very panicked for no reason and breathing feels very tight like when you have a panic attack. I also have a strange headache. Is is normal for me to still feel the oxy from 5:00 p.m. after 6 hours? Am I just really hungover from all the oxy and from nodding all day? Is this feeling normal or should I go to the ER? I really think if I was od'ing I would have already. Any advice would be aprecciated. My breathing is the part thats really scaring me though.
I hope you've gotten the help you need by now...But anytime you have any severe breathing difficulties you shouldn't mess with it- go to the Dr. That sounds like an OD to me. Unless you are panicking about the drug situation, and then you will feel like you can't breath just from the panic. But are you on any antidepressants? Because it almost sounds like seratonin syndrome....I have had it. Please post how you're doing.
Actually that sounds quite normal to me. Breathing always becomes depressed when on opiates, you may like the above poster said be having anxiety due to the fear of what is happening, and if you had been in the 60-80mg range for the past two weeks with no problems I dont see how 100mg's would become toxic. It sounds to me like you just experienced your first actual opiate nod that users tend to need higher and higher doses over time to attain. As for the dreamy effects, remember, morphine is not named after Morphues god of dreams just because it sounds cool. And as for still being high 6 hours later? Yes that is completley normal, when I've taken OC at 7-8pm I've woken up at 5am for work still feeling groovy. Anyway just be safe, and if the 100mg dose is too much for you, then obviously, dont go that high. Im not using them like I used to but even if I use for a few days straight, 60mg's is plenty for a nice high, not looking to dip out of reality for a few hours but just to geel good. namaste
yeah it usually says on the rx bottle that oxycodone may cause breathing problems. And that's with a legit dose. Next time just know that, and you shouldn't compound the problem by freakin out about it. Anxiety makes regular drug side effects seem really scary. Once I thought I was having a heart attack after smoking weed cuz I felt a poking sensation in my chest, them I learned it was prolly just a simple irritation in the pleural lining of the lung. all these issues are exactly why in the rec. drug users pledge, it dictates that you should always research a drug exhaustively before trying it. knowledge dissipates fear
yeah felt legit after i went to sleep. guess i just got too high the whole day and it caught up with me at night. now im probably gonna only take OC in the day to avoid a problem like this.
