In penis size surveys (real scientific ones) are the results normally done just resting the ruler on top of the penis til it touches the body, or do they measure by pushing the ruler against the body til it hits the pubic bone? I know it seems like a minute detail but in comparisons, and understanding size, it actually makes quite a difference. Reading on here it seems people do it different ways (or just lie). But in an official study do they do it from the pubic bone, with the ruler somewhat jammed into where the dick meets the stomach, touching the pubic bone? Which way do most of you guys do it? Thanks.
But do you press in with the ruler until you actually hit the pubic bone itself or do you just touch it to the area where the pubic is behind.
When you have sex in the missionary position, you are able to press your penis into the vagina all the way to the pubic bone, against hers. You should measure your penis (if it matters to you) the same way, from the pubic bone on the topside to the meatus (hole) in the glans, straightening out all curves in the shaft. Do it with a flexible or cloth ruler or tape - better than a hard ruler.
Better still, see how much length you can displace from a tube - a Pringles tube with the bottom cut off is ideal. Roll up a sheet of paper & mark the measurements along the length of it. Insert your erect penis as far as possible, so as to push the roll of paper out the other end. The length of paper pushed out is the true length, as this is actual length in real terms that you will be able to penetrate a vagina. Incidentally, by padding the inside of a Pringles tube to the required amount with foam rubber / bubble wrap, you can make yourself a nice little masturbation toy, along the same sort of lines as the Fleshlight.
