Write a cookbook boog...I would eat even less meat if most of the veggie recipes I found were made with food I would realistically have in the cupboards. I have a few fav recipes, but most of the ones I find would require me to be in the kitchen all day, or buy expensive exotic food...neither of which I am doing.
i'm not out to stop suffering. honestly, it rarely bothers me. "suffering" happens whether we do it or not, its a natural process of life. i just think its stupid to cut out major food groups. thats my personal opinion. Giants deserved the win. they beat the pats with a late scoring drive then the pats mishandled the last possession. they're still one of the best teams in history
If you do not yet understand that karma is a circle, perhaps one day you may, you just better hope you're not on the receiving end of the go-round before that happens. 1972 Dolphins
one thing i hate though, is people refering to teams from other decades. its makes no sense and you can't compare the teams at all - apples to oranges. any sports analyst who does is a fucking moron in my opinion life is a circle, karma follows it. i eat animal. animal may/may not eat me. some day another animal will take over the earth
The karma argument isn't a strong one for vegans. Not everyone believes in karma. I think that karma is just a cheap excuse to do good. Do good for the sake of doing good, not because you're expecting a reward out of doing it or something negative out of not doing it.
Who's comparing? The Dolphins went undefeated in 'their' era, and no one has yet to match that. Anybody who can't respect that is a moron. Face it the Patriots choked. Quit making excuses. They got ass lucky to get past Baltimore, and Brady was throwing up bombs all season, finally his luck ran out just like Tony Romo's. Belicheat is an asshole for walking off the field before the game was over, they lost a first round draft pick, and they'll get stripped of their superbowl with the lambs once Congress is done investigating.
i do respect what they did. but people really stop bringing it up. they played crappy teams back in the 70's. they weren't all that great at all, looking at the stats back then. good for them that they went underfeated. when did i make an excuse? i said the Giants deserved to win? right? yea, i thought so. he's not an asshole for walking off. the game was over, was a technical glitch on the clock and he had already congradulated the other coach. the players thought it was over - because it was over. and i find it funny how no one brings up Strahans book, in which he says everyone is dirty - including himself
It doesn't matter whether one does or does not believe that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And almost everything anyone does in their lifetime is intended to ultimately benefit themselves in some way.
I'm kinda curious to know if you would eat a bat, if it were acceptable to eat bats, since they are mammals and all.
one thing i hate though, is people refering to teams from other decades. its makes no sense and you can't compare the teams at all - apples to oranges. any sports analyst who does is a fucking moron in my opinion
Well, you cannot. But you cannot expect people to agree with you on them or to follow them. You justify a vegan diet with spirituality instead of logic. You cannot expect people to relate to you on that.
Newton's 3rd law, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." deals exclusively with physics not metaphysics/spirituality,etc
Maybe the word karma is the problem, as it comes wrapped with a religious connotation. Maybe I should just say "What comes around, goes around" instead? Although it may not always be true, events do have a funny way of balancing themselves out in the end.
I'm just saying, that's what Newton was talking about in his book "PhilosophiƦ Naturalis Principia Mathematica", it doesn't deal with metaphysics/spiritually.
Of course not, he had no instruments to measure those type of responses, but that can in no way invalidate a relation. Besides, the things you do, the things you kill and eat, are all physical acts, and they all have an impact on the world you live in.
