Post the songs you know that make you think about what is being said, or just make you think in general. Thos are always the best songs. I specifically am looking for songs to listen to while tripping soon, and honestly, trance doesn't really benefit me other than sounding really crazy, I like the songs with statements in them or questions that make you ponder. My favorite one, even though it isn't technically a "real" song, is Demitri Martin's - Wisdom Song... its interesting and has lots of sayings that are pretty obvious, but they're fun to hear while tripping. Yes, this could have been in psychedelics, but not much traffic there. This is for off-topics. Be an ass if you want though
All music makes me think. Music is a beautiful thing. ^^ Although i tend to listen to bone thugs-n-harmony the most
it's a cliche.. but pink floyd songs are awsome for that.. 'echoes' by pink floyd is a good one, also 'welcome to the machine'
Some songs really get me thinking without lyrics, as someone said: dissonance is a bliss Meaning when I hear a beautiful piece of music, maybe a nice mysterious riff or a key signature change that is beautiful I just sit and think Examples: Comfortably numb- Pink Floyd Fade to black- Metallica
David Crosby- cowboy movie CSNY- almost cut my hair And like every other song by csny, david crosby, and neil young. Also most songs by Traffic.
Octopus was most likely written on an acid trip. That song makes the least amount of sense out of all the songs on the Madcap Laughs.
All songs make me think about what is being said and/or in general, sometimes positively and other times negatively. Now that I come to think about it, everything makes me think
Pretty much the whole Michael Franti & Spearhead "Yell Fire" album makes me think about stuff. Also alot of the Medeski Martin & Wood stuff makes me think. Even though theres no lyrics It kinda lets my mind wander a bit.
Two songs of the opposite spectrum. Dance with the Devil - Immortal Technique You Enjoy Myself - Phish
