Well, it is here, the Super Bowl Weekend. Will any of you be doing anything special this weekend? My itinerary for this weekend is as follows. Today(Thursday), I must go out shopping and pick up some munchies and brewskis for the weekend. Friday night it is off to the Boulder Station to see Robin Trower. Saturday night it is off to the Palms to see Sammy Hagar. And then Sunday, I will stay home and watch the game on television with my brewskis and a nice vegie and shrimp tray, with some bbq ribs thrown in. GO NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.
Well, weekend was not very good. Started off very good with the Robin Trower show Friday night, an excellent concert, but went downhill from there. Saturday I was not able to attend the Sammy Hagar concert because in the afternoon I had to call an ambulance out to the house because my brother was having heart problems. He spent the night and the next day in the emergency room. He is home now and doing better. Super Bowl was boring, only the 4th quarter had any excitement to the game, and the wrong team won. Couldnt have the super bowl party I wanted, as I kept waiting for the phone to ring in order to pick up my brother from the hospital. Oh well, just thankful that my brother is home and doing better.
I take it you bet New Englad for a perfct 19-0? Acording to Coast casino group, The Giant's winning killed the Sports books in term of payouts/losses. My wife made 650 in tips plus union scale time and a half. Comes to over $800 for a two week paycheck.
I had a couple of proposition bets on the game, but I did not bet on either side. I just wanted to see New England complete the perfect season, but I didnt want to bet on them as they had suffered in their past few games and didnt seem to be playing at the level they were earlier in the season.
I know nothing about the sport. Not into sports at all. But, I know the wife made enough working the party at the Mirage that we can pay rent this month. And the suckers raised it $35 this month.
