    Transformers, the original animated one.
They fucking killed Optimus Prime, and that was basically the most traumatic thing that had ever happened to my eight year old ass...

^ when I was a kid I loved HotShot in that movie =D
why the fuck didn't they use HotShot instead of BumbleBee for the new movie?
then the name would make sense at least.

Not completely sad, but at least semi-sad movies I love:

    La Vita e Bella
    Hable Con Ella
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
    Cidade de Deus
    Moskva Slezam Ne Veret

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is an absolute classic. It makes me cry every time. Poor fucking Billy.

Leaving Las Vegas and AHX are others.

But enough of listing movies that others have already mentioned.

A movie that made me cry a lot that I haven't seen in years was The Mission, with De Niro and J. Irons. The score by Morricone and the setting in Iguazu Falls can't fail but add to the atmosphere in this movie.

Movies never make me cry like when I was younger. I didn't even cry during Schindler's List which is known for making people cry and you would expect it from someone Jewish like me. I am not saying that it was a bad movie, which it was't it was really good, the acting was amazing and the cinematography and everything. There are still two movies however which don't fail to bring a tear to my eye.

The first is The Barbarian Invasions, which is the English translation I forget the French title. This probably appealed to my emotions more than a movie like Schindler's List because it was more about a friendship, and fatherhood, the loss of a loved one. These are more personal things, as they say one death is a tragedy, a million a statistic.

The second which I watched with my babysisters is Dumbo. That scene where his mother is cradeling him in her trunk outside of her cell really makes you appreciate a mother's love.

Otherwise I'm a pretty heartless bastard. I guess when I say that I'm mostly making reference to the fact that I thought Hotel Rwanda was hilarious. I'm by no means making fun of the tragedy I just think it was a ridiculous movie.

My personal choice would be "A Star is Born," the one with Judy Garland and James Mason. Such powerful acting and emotion. This was one flick Judy was hell bent on making and she quite an attachment to it. One can see why as it really mirrors her life story. Judy! Judy! Judy! How I love her!
