There aren't many good spots next to me, but on the other side of the state it starts getting better. If you are into good camping though, Nebraska isn't really the place. In my experiences though, it's a toss up between Missouri or Colorado. I absolutly love the mountains, yet I still chose to go down by the Ozarks on my last vacation.

I have only camped in PA and wyoming. But the times in Wyoming have been pretty amazing. The Tetons, the windriver range, Yellowstone, etc. They are all absolutly pure beauty.

Most of my camping has been in Ohio but my favourite experience was at Red River Gorge in Kentucky.

If you live in MI WI or MN consider taking a camoing trip to the U.P. of MI and camp at the Mouth of the Huron River. It is absolutely wonderful! It's like Hawaii in Michigan. Crazy!

I'm partial to East Texas. Although Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma are nice tent camping areas. Hope this helps.

Texas, nah i dont know thats just where im from but i love Garner State Park in central Texas. i camped there every summer until i was 18 and i love that place it feels like a part of me and thats where i want my ashes spread. Its on the frio river and i know its in a song and i think its a George Straight song. Matthew McConaugh grew up 30 min. away from there, just some pop trivia.

oregon is amazing. Especially all the douglas firs. But back country camping and hiking gets rough because of the ridiculous amounts of underbrush. My clothing got soaked just by walking through it.
