http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080204/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_civilians_killed This is why I say the war is bullshit. How many more innocent lives have to be taken before this is over? 100? 1000? Maybe a million? And you see, the opposition is not the only side to blame. Our military intelligence is pretty much blind, "shoot anything that looks like a terrorist." Bullshit. I swear, if the election doesn't solve at least a few of our problems, I'm moving to Canada (sarcastic....slightly)
ugh.. I hate the news. If I didn't have to take these comm. law and journalism classes and bring in news + a report every week, I wouldn't watch/listen/read.. fucking depressing man
What pisses me off is that these events continue to happen, yet past occurences are always left for dead (no pun) to fade away, long forgotten. It seems like we can kill a few innocents here and there, and throw our hands up and say "oops" and all is well again. Those Iraqis were no more guilty than the office workers in the WTC on 9/11 Their loss is no less important, or real. I am ashamed sometimes of how our leaders run this country. I'm not saying any other country is any better, especially Iraq, but Good God, when does it end?
Right, it's not necessarily our troops fault (entirely, anyway) if they were acting on an order from above.
You know whats fucked, i only started hearing people use the phrase "vicious circle" after dane cook used it for his shows. To me thats more depressing then the orignal topic here.
Yes, but the first thing the military teaches is loyalty and respect. So of course the troops will act on any orders sent down without question.
and if they dont they will get to talk to the good ole MP's! You do not want to disobey orders in the military . its jus not a smart decision
my father always said "military intelligence is an oxymoron." that's after 20 years in the military, through vietnam, cambodia, etc. his daughter is a captain, naval intelligence. *snicker*
It's rediculous, that's all. They get away with murder, literally, and there's nothing we can do about it.
