I am posting this because I want to help others get this prescription, as I have listened to the advice on here that others have shared to get prescribed benzos, which I truly need in my case. My visit to the psych: I yelled at the secretary and said and I needed to be seen right now because I waited too long in the waiting room. She alerted the doc I was angry. I rocked back and forth in the chair and bit my nails and kept repeating I am nervous all of the time. I would make no eye contact with him. I told him I never use drugs, just drink occasionally. aLSO, anti-depressants have made me suicidal and other sleeping meds made me too groggy to get out of bed. ..... I left with a script for ativan.... Yah!!!!!
my doctor knows about my drug and alcohol use and the only things hes prescribed me are welbutran and add meds i havnt tried using them in large doses but i know they wont do anything and i took the welbutran for like 2 months and it did nothing i get stressed when i hav to do anything thats not fun like tests or big projects but when im with my freands im very chill and pleasurable to be with is there any chance the doctor would ever prescribe me something that could be used recreationally that i would also find useful. i realy hate the idea of using a pill everyday like the way welbutran is meant to be used. i want something that i can just pop one in when im having a bad day or am stressed because of a test but he doesnt seem to want me to have one of these type of pills for some reason? should i ask again? do they not prescribe scheduled drugs to people 17
awd, I would probably find a new doc and tell them you have not abused drugs or alcohol. Wellbutrin and all that crap was no help for my anxiety either. I also told him anti-depressants had a suicidal effect on me. However, benzos cannot be abruptly stopped being taken, you get horrible flu-like symptoms. Hope that helps
Some thoughts: #1- Don't ever be rude to secretaries at a doctor's office. I can't believe that worked, they should've kicked you out. #2- Why does TSE think that it's a coincidence that she got hydrocodone prescribed the day before skarikari acted like an jerk and got a weak benzo prescribed? #3- awd, are you 34 or 17? The advice you get would be different, so you should calibrate your posts with your profile.
In my own defense, I am happy to have got prescribed something that I need and that has helped me tremendously. I can sleep now, not so irritable anymore, and overall relaxed. I am tired of being treated as "just another patient" at those flakey shrinks anyways. Anti-depressants are BS for some people, in fact, a lot of people. I hope other people can the medicine they really do need, not for abuse.
That will probable be short lived since if your Dr prescribed ativan now. Chances are the next time they will switch it to a less addictive{ trial} loL... med. If you bitch about this and you constantly bring up I need atavan> They will likely know your bullshit. Dude Alot of doctors are right here posting shit reading fuckning with you thats what doctors do, they learn, what a better place to learn about addiction control is from a bunch addicts on the internet. I would advise you that if you wanted to keep such a med and not look like your abusing it. DONT ABUSE IT> If your given a 30 day per/. And you show your doctor that you can make it last 60 days chances are youll get more. Get what 'im saying play the game dont let it play you. Dont dismiss other drugs they perscribe immeadetly. If they want to cut you off atavan try to get a half scrip with your other med. Its a game just play it. And dont act like a nut. Its really not responsable If you simply tell them the truth some doctors will monitor you and perscribe you benzo/ But remember its a business and who your insurance provider is. If your paying cash for a Psyciatrist they will give you almost anything. If your on pudlic assist youll get what you get and like it.
