It was supposed to be in the style of Kandinski. It was my first attempt at anything abstract. I used Water colors and a Sharpie.
yea, i know part of the assignment my teacher gave me was to distort some features. but i didnt want to do something huge and ruin it so i picked a few little things to do, the eye being one of them.
actually my favorite is the third it feels a lot more mysterious, almost mystic, a bit sleepy when the sunlight hits the garden in the late day and color goes out of the world. as for the eyes I really like the signification of the nationalism shrinking the eyes. maybe that's not what you were going for but I found it a good metaphor for the way certain mentalities or views tend to distort the way we look at the world. Nice work.
I was pretty suprised at how much I liked the second peice when it was finally finished. Like I said, I never tried anything abstract before that, let alone with water colors. It turns out there's alot you can do with them.
