Mixing Benzos with other drugs

So here's the story: Never had panic attacks in my life. About 2 months ago, I started having them. During that time, they've gone from my first one lasting about 20 minutes to my most recent one lasting an hour and fifteen minutes.

My best friend & I have talked about it and, obviously we're no experts, but between the two of us, we think I might have some sort of panic disorder. I'm gonna be talking to conselors and the right people to really find out something starting Monday.

Thing is... if they end up giving me any meds for it, they'll definitely probably give me some type of benzo like Xanex or Klonopin. My question is...how bad is it to mix other drugs if you're taking benzos like that (my main concern would be benzos + ecstacy)?

 

mixing a powerful CNS depressant with a powerful CNS stimulant is a bad idea. Especially in the case of E and benzos as they're both quite close to the top of their class.

Don't mix them with coke, E, meth, amphetamine, methylone, any other powerful stimulant.

However, if you take them as directed it might be all right depending on the doseage of whatever you'll end up taking.

 

My guess is that you will be fine. Still it makes sense to get your anxiety issues handled before taking E. It could be dangerous to stop taking a benzo and punctuate the withdraw with E. If you take benzos it would make sense to just take your regular amount. I wouldn't add anything else to the mix.

 

you can never guess any one will be fine mixing benzo's with any drug. Most od's I have seen have Benzo's or Alchool involved, about 75% of all Herion and opiate od's happen when the user eather mixes it with Benzo's or Alchool. I have seen other Benzo od's so its not always mixing them with other downers. About 2 years ago a kid in the next town over was partying with his frinds one night blowing lines at a bar, He did not want to come down off the coke so he took about a few Xanex to mellow out so he could get to sleep.Well he never woke up the next morning,his heart stoped from the mix of coke and benzos I guess it was just to much on his heart ? Please people I have said it on hear 10 times now don't mix fucking benzo's with anything at all exsept weed. Its a good way to have something real fucking bad happen to you or worse you could die!!!!!!!!!! If you are going to mix them like after coming off coke,meth,X or LSD becasue thats what alot of people use them for coming off speedy drugs take a low dosage don't go eating like 5 or 6 of them. Benzos have alot to do with alot of drug od's. like I siad about 50% of OD's have soime sort of Banzos involved, Every one thinks they are some innocent drug that you can eat hand fulls of, Thats not then case at all.

 

So basically no drugs for me, if I end up having to have these prescribed for the panic attacks?

This is what I assumed because I know a girl (the one that got me into ex, actually) she was presrcibed klonipin (5mg, I think?) and she would take several of those on top of up to like 5 tabs in a night and she seemed to be fine. Of course, I know different people react differently to things.

Maybe if I end up having to take these, I should just take it easy the next time I do ex? Be in a safe place/with people I'm comfortable with/etc...? so if anything weird does happen, at least I'm safe?

It wasn't really the idea of using it as an easier comedown from a different drug. It's just...I like ex, but I might end up needing to take some sort of benzo for my panic attacks, and I wasn't sure how it might affect me, ya know?

 

I had Xanax prescribed for my panic attacks. Problem was, the attacks were over before the med kicked in. Eventually, I learned to tolerate, even enoy the attacks.

 

Xanex work great for panic attacks they also work wonders for anxiety and stress. They mellow the user right out.Thats why people use them for coming off speedy drugs.

 

Enjoying panic attacks doesn't seem like something I could do. How did you manage to do that? Seriously.

The logical part of my brain says mixing uppers/downers wouldn't be good, not one bit. The addict part of my brain says "well, Ivy did it. and she's alive." Not sure which one's gonna win out. But I mean...I dunno.

When I think about drugs, i think "well, it's just ex, it's not like it's something hardcore." even though the logical side knows "drugs are drugs and they all mess you up". Not sure which side is gonna win in the end... :\
