1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

I just finished off the last bowl of cream of rye. I keep the Old Wessex Scottish and Irish oatmeals on the shelf. During these colder autumn and winter months I like to heat up a bowl of cereal and add a pear or banana. Sometimes a drizzle of honey or a dot of yogurt just puts it all together.

Of course, on Weight Watchers that's probably the biggest meal of the day for me!

Anyone else here into hot cereals ? Huh ?

I like fish porridge best. Or eel. Served hot. With white pepper. Sometimes the fish is already a bit salted hence no soy sauce. If not, then a dash of the black liquid.

I use a variety of grains, I cook quinoa and millet for a few minutes, add oat and barley flakes, fruit, vanilla extract, cook a few minutes more. When done I stir in brown sugar. yummy
