sigh...I've decided not to try acid

I posted a few days ago about how I was planning on exerperimenting with LSD, but after reading several advisories cautioning people with mental disorders to avoid the drug, I've decided against it. I know what a bad trip feels like to some extent as I've experienced psychosis, and I'd rather not experience it ten fold for 8-10 hours.

I had my connections in motion, my vitamin C prepared, and I did all my research. Then I realized that the very reason everyone tells you to do research is so people like me don't take the drug. I'd like to take it in a therapeutic session because I've read various reports that it can cure certain mental disorders, but obviously that's not allowed since the drug is illegal. To me, that is beyond criminal and it's sickening that the ultra-conservative fundamentalists dictate what we can and can't take, even if it is a potential cure for a serious disorder. In my eyes, they are crazier than I am.

I guess I'll just stick with weed, which isn't a bad fall back drug afterall.

 

that's all up to you... I personally didn't like it.. I love Shrooms but Acid gave me a horrible anxiety attack and I'll probably never do it again..

but if you ever run into someone very experienced in LSD that you have alot of trust in that would be willing to act as a guide
it might not be a bad idea to consider

 

definitely wouldn't reccomend L to someone who already has mental disorders. L can be like a very intense therapy session if you're with the right people. It can push someone teetering on the edge into complete madness though.

 

agreed--too bad you couldn't trip with woodlouse...he's an experienced tripper & a psychiatrist!

 

it's so stupid that drugs are illegal. especially those that dont cause harm like LSD and weed.

i mean, a victimless, nonviolent crime.....isn't a crime???

It sounds like the wise decision for you. Shrooms are great, stick to them.

Shrooms have the ability to exacerbate latent psychosis or other latent mental illnesses just like acid. This is a known effect of most psychedelics. Please think twice about using psychs if you have been diagnosed as such.

seriously, whoever says L is harmless is mistaken. I have seen it push people over the edge never to come back. it's a drug to be treated with respect.

 

if you can handle Shrooms, i don't see why you can't handle Acid. there's just so much more connotation with LSD though. best of luck though.

OP...I would like to thank you for being responsible. It is people that aren't ready for a drug that give drugs a bad name. Your self control raises my faith in the world wide drug culture.

If you ever decide to change your mind this is a good place for information, but the best thing for a first time 'cid trip is a trip sitter. No amount of online can prepare you for what you will experience that first trip, and a sitter will help you keep your sanity.

 

what is this edge you speak of? is it some sort of out of bounds marker? is it like a football field for the mind, where you can only operate in certain perimeters???
