Does the hair grow faster if you let your facial hair grow out a bit before shaving or does it grow faster if you shave everyday? Or is it just a myth and it's simply that some people can grow em and some can't. I have a light shadow on my sideburns (grows the fastest for some reason) and moustache area. Barely anything on the chin area (grows in the slowest). I know you must think I'm crazy for wanting to have a beard and go through the hassle of shaving every day but I still want one. ;D *damn you zachimus!* =P

There is no way to make your facial hair grow any faster than it's already growing. The rate at which your hair grows is genetic.
Personally, my beard grew faster when I shaved it proper, meaning right to the skin. Now that I don't NEED to keep myself clean shaven, I go a few weeks between shaving and when I do shave, it's with a trimmer down to a stubble. Back in the day though (in high scool where facial hair was NOT allowed), it took a matter of 3 or 4 days to get to the same point that it now gets in about 2 weeks....maybe it's just me.
@Ind Got it. @schwarz Yeah feels like it grows faster when I shave regularly, no idea if that's the cause though. I'll just keep shaving every couple days to keep it clean. Off topic but what kinda school doesn't allow facial hair? D;
Catholic high school....no facial hair, including sideburns, all shirts MUST have a collar and dress slacks....no jeans, no skirts on girls, no shorts, no tennis shoes, only dress shoes....pretty strict and now I'm being rebelious because of it (not really but whatever).
That must of sucked. I wouldn't of minded uniforms in highschool because I had like a pair of jeans and a bunch of shirts that didn't fit, it was pretty bad. Now that I'm out of that hell hole I love wearing different styles and stuff. Feels good to like what you wear.
Your facial hair may also just need to fill out a bit. In theater productions here where I go to school, there are guys two and three years older than I who cannot grow out a full beard whereas I am a frickin sasquatch if it's not kept in check. I'll typically go a week between shaving if I can help it. I'll get pretty stubbly, but I'm lazy and shaving is a lot of work. It's weird, I find that shaving other parts of the body is a lot easier than the face... probably because facial skin is so sensitive.
I went to a Catholic high school but left recently because I absolutely hated it. Anyways, my [former] school had some pointless rules like those too but none like telling guys that they HAVE to shave. If I went there I'd remind them that their beloved Jesus [allegedly] had a beard so why not me too? Facial hair grows back fast for me. But I haven't shaved for maybe a week. I dunno...I've just gotten lazy.

I have extream amount of body hair and I could remove it easy with that aerosole hair remover,, That shits easy. But the body hair domnt bother me at all. so I let it grow I dont have a need to remove my body hair. But the facial hair shit...oooooooooo

when I was 20 I could go 3 weeks, not shave and only have 'peach fuzz' ... this drove my TI (training instructor) in USAF basic training fits cuz I didn't have to shave and still pass muster. LOL
Though I'm not a fan of shaving nearly every day, I am thankful that my scruff comes in evenly instead of in patches like some of my friends. I can't help but laugh... I'm a bitch.
