When dissolving a compound in liquid (with a concentration of 13mg/ml) should the solution be totally clear when viewed with light shining through? Or will there be some fine crystals suspended? Also would it be best to stir the solution before each use?
    Thanks

    Depends if:
    A.) Water soluble
B.) You have reached the point where no more of the compound can be dissolved in the water, and you have extra. I forget what the technical name for this is.

solute going into solution (exceeding solubility constant) is always clear, or else it's not in solution. applying heat increases solubility, and sometimes, so will adding more solvent.
