Willy Wonka, DH cooks & is GOOD at it! It's just that he works 70+ hours per week, and isn't HOME to cook all that often.
    love,

the only time i cooked or handled meat since being veg was to cook for my exchange student from spain. he was an awesome kid and i could hardly explain to him my reasons for being veg through the language barrier, and i wanted to be a good host and make him food that he was used to. he also was open-minded and tried new foods. his family cooked me vegan food, which was new to them when i visited them, so the favor was very well returned.

sometimes people eat meat in my car, but typically its justs cold sandwhiches, which dont really smell that strongly or leave an order, and even that is pretty rarely. i dont really like it, but sometimes we are in the car for long periods of time...i could put my foot down on that but like i said, i dont really smell it and it doesnt really hang around..

I don't think people trust me to purchase or prepare meat.

I've never bought or prepared meat in my life.

I'd like to keep it that way too.

When I go to my parents house, and they send me out for groceries I will buy them whatevers on the list. They are my parents!! when they ask for something (since they raised me and everything) I dont argue to pick a few things up for them. Im a vegetarian...I will talk to people about my vegetarianism, but I won't force it on people by being rude and not picking people up food when Im out.

I agree. My parents are the only ones who would ask me to do them a favour like that, but it would be very ungrateful of me to refuse, considering how far out of their way, and comfort zones, they go to accommodate me being vegetarian. I won't cook meat for others, but I will prepare meals that they can easily add meat if they choose. I can't see how being a 'difficult vegetarian' can help the cause. Being a vegetarian can be a hard enough concept for others to grasp and get used to in the beginning as it is, without adding being difficult about buying lunch for co-workers. So long as they dont expect me to pay for it (unless they are buying me lunch in return) and they dont expect me to have any, then I dont see the problem.

Most of my friends are vegetarians, or compleatly accept me being a vegetarian. My mom is a vegetarian. My dad isnt, but he would never ask me to interact with meat. All my coworkers eat meat, and we had to go to a steak house for our Christmas party. I sat and ate pasta. Its not a HUGE deal. I would never do it on a normal basis, but I make exceptions.
