Wow, I just started to learn more about my moon and asending signs and how they all work with my sun sign and so many thinggs are becoming soooo much clearer now, it's crazy! I have conflicting sun and moon signs, does anyone else have this or any information about this kind of thing? Love&Light!
What does that mean? That they are in opposite signs (born on a Full Moon) or that one is in a water sign and the other is in a fire sign? If anything, being born on a Full Moon is very propituous. http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/sunmoonaspects.html http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/astroarticles/planetsb4afternatalmoon.php (this'll probably have you reaching for your ephermis. ) http://www.planetwaves.net/cainer/archive/003260.php http://www.astroscoped.com/astrology/natal_sun_moon_aspects.shtml http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=moon+opposite+sun+natal&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2 google is your friend.
I meant elementally. Like my sun is an air sign while my moon is a earth sign, those are conflicting. I've been reading a lot about how that can make inner conflicts in a person, but also cause inspiration to do great things because they can never be quite settled or too comfortable... stuff like that.
They are not conflicts. Your Sun sign says that you may tend to overly intellectually analyse things but your Moon sign says that emotionally you wish to be pragmatic. If there is any conflict it would be in things like over working to gain possessions because your have a sensate predisposition - you want to have very nice things which feel sensual when you sit on them, like very expensive velour couches. It's when you can't get them that there is frustration. Your mind may tell you that you can't afford them. You may go into debt. What to do? Become more creative, do one creative act every day. Treat yourself to bubble baths, get full body massages, get rid of all clutter in your apartment, get rid of old clothes, throw away mismatching glasses, cups and dishes. Bring harmony into your life. Become more Japanese. Learn to appreciate empty space. You might be interested in Moon Nodes. One basically is supposedly what you are bringing into the present life from a previous life and the other shows what we have to do in this life to cancel prior karma. Me, I work with eclipes (which full and new moons are) along with lunar returns for each month. I find that they are uncanny. But not everyone wants to know what is likely to be coming up in their lives. A good astrology book should say what all the planets mean, but only you can truly know yourself. They are not conflicts, you just think that they are so. http://astrology.about.com/od/foundations/p/EarthElement.htm
I once read a thought-provoking statement in an astrology book that said, to the effect, that your moon represents what you were in your past life and it's our mission to "grow up" to our sun signs. It's the new you of this life, the challenge for you. Another thought provoker is what Linda Goodman had to say: The divine law of astrology is to live up to the essence of our sun signs. Now that's not an easy task for many people. I have an Aires Sun sign and a Capricorn Moon. All I know when I'm totally in touch with my Sun sign I feel most powerful, most alive and, to me, it's where the goodies/the treasures lie. But the Moon is always there to trip me up. I also have my Mercury in Taraus and my Mars in Virgo and they join up with my Cap Moon which presents a REAL challenge to get in touch with my "treasures", which lie in my Sun sign. I always know when I've gone too far off base when I find myself attracted to strongly Arian types, which represent the lost ME. Now that certainly is not an easy task if your Sun is in Cancer and your Moon is in fun-loving Aquarius or Sagittarius. What a dilemma! You throw that divine law of astrology at this person and they"ll say: Hey! Being a Cancer doesn't sound like much fun at all, I'd rather spend my time having fun. I think it's very important that you don't ignore one in favor of the other as someday it will only kick you in the butt when you least expect it. So, you love your moon sign and hate your sun sign or vice versa, you can't ignore one or the other for too long, or it will end up being projected onto your partner in a relationship. I once knew an Aquarian Sun/Moon in Cancer person (WOW! Now there's a contrast-the most detached Sun sign and the most emotional moon sign) and he was forever complaining about always meeting up with very emotional types in his relationships. Well, there you go! That's what we call projection, he keeps projecting his Moon in Cancer onto his partners and until he recognizes that emotionalness in himself, he'll keep on attracting the same partners over and over again. But then, projection is a fascinating subject in itself.
well what if you are like me? my sun in leo, opposes my moon in aquarius. my ascendant is also leo. BUT my north node is in aquarius, and my south node is in leo.... sooo i am supposed to grow into my sun sign, but that would just create much karmic debt for not allowing myself to develop my north node traits, and i would be growing into my southnode in leo (which i hear is bad ..herm.herherm). but then again i mostly just ignore it and just be myself.
All I can say, from experience, is that I am at my most powerful, I most alive when, and if, I'm in touch with my Sun powers. You have a much, much easier time of reconciling your Sun and Moon than I do. You can't see the Aquarius flavor in Leo or the Leo flavor in Aquarius? Leo's love the spotlight and so does Aquarius in an intellectual, left brain sense.
