Such a great relaxed lifestyle in Perth. Unfortunately I am looking to move away because it's getting a bit small for me. I want to live somewhere that has some more opportunity. I'll be heading to California in a few months and it may be permanent. Everyone in Perth has a "retired" attitude which is great but also a bit restricting for some (me).

EyeCyoo, I completely understand where your coming from, sure its got a nice and relaxed feel to it, but it just needs a bit more excitement and a little less... isolation. Other than that, its a very beautiful place and Id get in while its still beautiful. Its also an ideal place to bring up a family... well I imagine it is, Im only 16.

    Thirded,
Perth's a great place, beautiful, and we have a lot of things just on our doorstep!
Unfortunately, it's just a bit too far from a lot of places...

I gotta get out of here soon, it'll do your head in after a while :p

^ I agree... in terms of employment, things are hard for people without technical qualifications. Other than that, you could go work in the mines. I have lived here all my life but I'm visiting Melbourne in a few months. It seems like a better place for artists and writers.

I wouldnt change anything about Perth, the isolation etc makes it what it is! But it's just not for me at the moment.

Maybe it could be less windy...

    fremantle!
    south of perth.

go into perth and catch the train into freo.

everything is walking distance and its very close to the beach.

also theres weekly markets run by hippies.

    its amazing :)
if you need any help i could show you around.
theres some kick ass shops in fremantle.
