I've heard people in the past say, "I wonder who would win in a fight, Bruce Lee or Muhammad Ali". At the time, I would think it was an excellent question. The past few days I've been reading up on Bruce and I have to say I can't believe that anyone who knows much about him would even have to think about the question asked above. I believe that if the two were allowed to use hands, feet, elbows, no rules karate style fighting then Bruce would take out Ali in about 10 seconds. If it were strictly boxing, with gloves, it would take him a whole minute and a half to knock Ali unconscious. Here are some Bruce Lee facts: He could hold his fist an inch away from a man's chest, with his arm straight, and in a split second deliver a one-ince punch that would send him flying. He could do one-armed pushups with just his thumb He was more cat than human and every ounce muscle. I think a better match for Bruce would be a Siberian tiger. What do you think?
Yeah, first thing that came to my mind. "Bruce Lee in a couple of seconds". I'm gonna go watch Bruce Lee clips on youtube now.
No way man, boxers have endured extreme ammounts of pain. A little jap is not going to take him down easily. Maybe if he tired him out, but even still, a shot from Ali would leave you seeing stars for a week.
I just looked at some videos of Tony Ja, and he seems like an incredibly acrobat with an ego to boot. Great in staged stunts but I doubt he could touch Bruce in a real fight. And to the guy who called Bruce a Jap - he was Chinese. And in addition to be far faster than Ali, I bet he was more powerful too. But I guess we'll never know for sure.
And by no means could Lee compete with Ali in a boxing match. Bruce Lee simply had a much more effecient style. Even though he had that wing chun stance. He was probably in better shape too, and thats saying a lot.
I just think the only way Lee could beat Ali is if he put him in a wicked submission, other than that Lee would get demolished like a monkey in a rotwreiler(spelling) cage.
Bruce Lee is way too fast and powerful for Ali. He's a street fighter, he will hit Ali where it hurts.
We each have our opinion but one thing is for certain, If Bruce Lee was still alive today and pitted against a 66 year old Muhammad Ali (caught in the clutches and death throes of Parkinson's disease) Ali would die a quick death while shaking to the rhythmical sounds of Johnny Wakelin & the Kinshasa Band hotwater
I can't believe that there are people actually suggesting that Ali could beat up Bruce Lee. I seriously doubt if he could even catch him with a single punch that wasn't deflectd or half blocked in some way.
So you were never caught up with all that “Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee" crap :H Hotwater
well, I actually believed all that stuff. I just think that Bruce Lee could probably block a wasp too. He was way too fast for Ali.
