www.atheistforums.com go down to christianity. then to the thread "proof of a god". I decided i wanted to debate some hardcore atheist. I didn't realize however that there would be like a million of them foaming at the mouth b/c the want to chew me up. If you believe in anything you really should check this out. they are very intellectual and im actually having a tough time just saying anything. tell me what you think.

I think we're much more intellectual high class folks (less dogmatic) over here. They really don't want to listen to opposing views. I'll never forget, though, my first time on Hip Forums when I mentioned the word "Jesus" and FedUp, Liroy, and Skip went ballistic--like that old comedy routine where every time you mention "Niagra Falls" some dude goes psycho and starts to strangle you.
lol. i figured something out though. they seems to be so logical when you try to prove that there is a God. However, if you ask them to disprove God, they can't. ????? they kinda get pissy too. so you guys went a read it? man did i get flamed..
Go there and tell them that an all mighty God exist in you, and every other Christians mind, and that the spirit of God is what gave you the strength to enter and express yourself to a forum full of people who you knew would fight against you. And say something like ... Thank you for helping me prove you all wrong! If you want proof that the spirit of God does exist, go back and re-read this entire thread, and every time you read my post, you will be looking at the evidence of His unwavering spirit that your poor lost souls need. It probably won't satisfy any of you, but apparently none of you are satisfied with who you have become as a person. If you were proud of who you are, you would give thanks to your Creator. You wanted proof of God, I am proof of God, every Christian you see is proof of God. Thanks again! leave it at that, and don't go back there to argue with them or read their replies...and that is the best way you can prove your point. Try to remember that the topic you are debating is a mind trap, it's almost impossible for either side to prove that they are right or wrong.... so stay out of it ! You should focus all that energy and good intentions on helping people in your community.
they wont respond to that. this is how their argument works. they say that in order for something to exist, that something must leave evidence of it's existence. since i can't give them any hard evidence that God exist, then he must not exist, because absense of evidence is evidence of absense. which to me is extremely one sided and obvioulsy close minded. their whole argument is so logical that is ceases to be logical. if that makes any sense.
well the topic was just God's existence in general. any god. but as of right now, im highly pissed off at them. they banned me b/c they didn't like how i thought. i guess they aren't much of free thinkers after all. so then i tried to make another account, and got banned for making a "sock puppet" this happened about 6 times. now im guessing they banned my IP address b/c i can't even go to the website now. abolutely ridiculous. thank god for hip forums, a place where people can disagree with that majority, and not get magically banned. fedup i would like to debate you. but i've noticed something about atheist. they would make a positive claim about anything. they choose to let someone else make a claim and then attack it and demand evidence and scream "BURDEN OF PROOF!!!!".. this seems like a cop out to me. do you act like this?
absolutely nothing. if you can't totally explain or present evidence of god using your 5 senses, then apparently it is not acceptable. just read it if you want to see how their logic works. i guess they think that what they have is all there is to be had in the universe. sorry but i guess im a trancendentalist when it comes to that regard. i dont think we can perceive everything with our senses, just like i can't perceive radio waves or radiation with what i am naturally equipped with.
let me just say that i respect this website and all of you guys more than ever before. after experiencing something such as atheistforums.com i realize how great this website truly is. you guys are all great. fedup, i would gladly debate you but i dunno. i might need a little break lol.
I just told you how to give them "evidence"... but it's not good enough for you either. The problem is, that unless you are strong enough to express yourself to them and not look back they will continue to dominate your thoughts If you tell them like I told you and remove your mind from that train of thought then you will have proven your point, and they will be sitting in front of a computer trying to prove you wrong. and you will be out living your life ! Right now, you are like a big spunky fish in a tank to them, and they are like cat's gathered around you... playing games with you. The recommendation I gave you is like jumping out of the water and spraying piss in all of their faces... then sprouting wings and flying away. They thrive on people like you... .don't be their fish !

one day you will be thankful that they banned you... if you were computer savy, you would know how easy it is to get back into the forum with another username. I am somewhat atheist as well, I was trying to tell you what makes them itch... but you are 18 years old,, and you probably know more than me. good day.
dude i dont know i couldn't just make a new name. they banned my first one, so everytime i DID try to simply make a new account they still new it was me and then banned me for making a sock puppet. after this happened about 5 times, i guess they just banned my IP address. i dont think i know anything better than you do. dont be mad man.
Sorry about that There are some stuuuupid people on that fourm "Christians are stupid therefore there is no God" Was he joking? Hope those people are happy they just gave a bad name to atheist like me everywhere.
Y is a crooked letter than can never be straight. to be honest, i really dont know if I could tell you why. I just do. I had a very weak religious upbringing from my parents so i dont think that is it. at any rate, they are hardcore fundies *blushes* which i am not. i think i am a combined effort of everyone i have ever met and thier various influences on me. now the question is does that make my belief in God less valid?
While I don't always agree with you, you have shown - once again - why you are worthy of my deep respect. As to the "lion's den and stick" thing, I agree. That's the exact same reason why I avoid going into the StormFront forums to debate the dangers of racism... Neodude, why go into the fray in an effort to show faith? I am not suggesting "hiding your light," but to use it where it is more effective. Reach out and have an intelligent debate with an atheist you know, in person, and show him kindness. That's a more effective message. Start a local debate group in your town and invite strangers to have a clean, fun, and intellectual debate. Make sure it doesn't get out of control. There are better ways to debate people than by going out and looking for it in all the wrong places. I'd just go there to observe arguments so you can find better ways to debate the people here. That's my honest opinion.
There is no such thing as intelligent debate when it comes to religion. I was giving him a way to give them a little poke and get the hell out of there.
