seriously, i really hate him. so much. this guy spends his time telling us to help those in poverty, and telling us to stop climate change. what a douchebag.

this is the guy who spent the money to put out an imax 3D movie of a U2 concert. i dont know if you guys know how much money it costs for the film, but its REEAAALLLY expensive, about as much as it would cost to feed a family of 5 for a year, and thats only for like 40 seconds of footage.

on the other hand this is also the same guy who had a private jet fly home to pick up his hat, his FUCKING HAT!!!, and fly it back to the country he was in, boy oh boy, i dont feel bad about the gas that my acura is pumping into the atmosphere now, or even all the hummers either. yea you can tell he takes climate change seriously

if he really wanted to change things, he could take all the money he needs to live like regular joe comfortably, and send the rest for the poverty stricken, and maybe he can trade in his 400 acre mansion for a normal sized house, and take that acridge and make homes for the homeless.

it's to boost his image and that's about all it's doing. celebrities should be the last person to be complaining about the poverty in africa. sure they go say hi to the kids and stay there for a week with a camera always in their face..but there lives go on rich as usual, and once they leave those kids are once again forgotten.

bono only does his charity work to stroke his own ego.. he has no true compassion for the causes he helps fund, hes nothing more than a megalomaniac.as far as that go's bono really doesnt give a large percentage of his wealth away as the gates do. he raises money from others for those charities.

to attempt to put him in the same context as the gates foundation is a travesty..

And just because Brian Eno produced some of their albums he feels like hes all important. I can think of alot of bands that were far more creative in the 80's.... they just didnt nearly have the exposure that u2 had.

 

As much as i hate bono, he donates a shit load of money and helps a lot of people. Maybe its not for the right reasons, but he still does it, and he deserves credit for that.
As for the hat, i have a feeling that it is just a rumor, but if it is ture, then that is just fucked up.
