Kinda the same as calling someone a slut. Slut just helps me save my breath.

Actually one two few...the word "not" got left out in a sentence there right after the word "should". lol ...figured either a typo or self contradiction so typo it is. I agree though 100% .

With the exception of people who use it as a kind of sex toy, which is fine. But yes, thankyou for articulating my thoughts exactly. Though personally, I'm kind of grossed out by the term because of it's use by such partisan religionists, but then again if someone hot want's to call me that while beating my naked buns with a leather whip, I could probly go with it.[IMG]

Words are mini magical spells and they can be curses to those who either don't understand that kind of magic or love the misery...mostly the former. It's really the simple secret that the power of them lie in YOUR mind not in someone elses.

However, because there are so many inocent people who just don't understand how it works, it should only be used as a joke, playful teasing (be careful though), or as a turn on (if you really know that turns them on).

I try to keep my word spells as far from those of the pious puritans as possible (am i spitting?)

Very well put GC. I think you're absolutely right.

Unfortunately, the word 'slut' can ruin a young 14yo girls life in school and with her friends. It's one thing for her to ignore it, but others who don't ignore it are always there to put you down. BUT, ignore it she must.

Tulsa, Oklahoma is not named for "a slut" spelled backwards. Just wanted to clear that up.

Calling someone a slut is like calling a ****** a ******... it depends on the source and the tone of the voice it is spoken with.

Some will take it the wrong way, and others will take it in stride because they understand that it applies to them.

and fuck you if you are offended by reading the word ******.
    it's acceptable in your vocabulary
    it's acceptable in MY vocabulary.

Liberals answers like liberals, conservatives answer like... them. Human beings answer like in between, what they feel. Feeling is a dangerous thing, knowing women and men it goes from moment to moment. The earlier species, which are good in a way that make the cosmos go around as ballast, have convictions. Stick with what you believe in, it won't the truth in life anyway. A blind person fucking is a person who just lives. Slut or no slut, the same, with women and men. Hard as it may to admit it, we like fucking. Humans. Exclamation point. Or no... scratch that. Period.

ive always found its the tone that matters rather than the actual word. i don't think i would ever call anyone a slut, unless i was sure that they knew i was kidding around.
the use of all words is subjective and dependant on the situation and people

Who gives a shit? It's just a label like any other. If you take offense, then you might be the one with the issue. Anyway, I'll use the word when I'm sexing a girl who's into that sort of thing.

Words like "slut" (basically value judgements, in this case a negative one) don't even make sense (are inherently bullshit) to me. I say that because they're all about negative connotation, yet for one to prove that "being sexual promiscuous" is objectively bad is impossible.

My first girlfriend was by definition a slut, but it was her sluttiness that made her so happy, healthy and confident about herself (a few simple reasons why I adored her so *hint to the rest of the world*), and if it weren't for that she wouldn't have been able to pull me out of my shell, nor would it have lasted as long as it did.

I wouldn't ever label myself, not anymore. We just do it out of habit and stuff like that, but it's a form of submission that's no fun, and has negative societal consequences. If someone ever calls you a slut, just reply with something like, "I'm not a slut, but I do have sex a lot" - do it for the childrenz!!!!111!1

Girls don't like sluts because they are competition and make it unmanageable to keep their counterpart satisfied. The slut being part of the same shared society dictates how and what females will do to please .Guys love sluts. If there is a God he must be a guy.Anything that does not have to do with your orgasm but you have to Carry along with yourself mentally is a distraction, like safe sex and the burden of a relationship. Sluts love sex as much as most guys and don't allow inhibitions to marginalize it.There aren't enough sluts to go around and that's why they are in demand.A slut communicates attraction because she is maximized for sexual pleasure like how particular species of animals fill a niche in nature because of their attributes whether they are mental of physical, like claws on a cat. Most of these attributes in humans is mental.

Enough of the slut label. It is merely a symbolically negative way to stigmatize someone. It is synonymous with promiscuous. If we have a subjectively high number of sexual partners this word is an accurate way to describe us. The only difference is how the word is said, not what it means. Say slut in the same manner as we articulate "rainbows" or "chocolate".The only reason I don't associate with promiscuous females" in my own case" is because I realize that it will diminish a combination platonic/sexual relationship that I'm currently in or will be in.If Sluts are negative this response is informative.

As far as I'm concerned, "slut" means something totally different. It's not just about a number of partners, it's about the goal behind the sex. At the college I'm at, far too many girls are promiscuous because it's the cool way to be. It's expected of them from their sorority to hook up with guys from x fraternity or y sports team. They do it as a status symbol, but not because they're exploring their sexuality or just looking to have fun. Sometimes they're looking for an emotional connection--they want to FEEL loved and wanted, but they're not supposed to be in a relationship, whether it's for appearance's sake or because they think they don't have time, so they fool around one night and then feel bad about themselves the next morning. As far as I'm concerned, THOSE girls are the sluts. Girls that are going around exploring their own sexuality and just going out and having fun are NOT sluts, because they are getting out of it exactly what one SHOULD get out of it, and they're not hurting themselves emotionally for the sex.

Also, if a girl LIKES hearing the word in bed (MollyBoston), that's a bit of a different story. Call her a slut all day. :)

has anyone commented what a great sound the word means? I mean as you roll the S into the L, lingering slowly over those two consonunts before a short vowel and a sharp T ? For me that is one of the great joys of the word: It sounds gorgeous to pronounce. I thinnk a woman - or guy - who calls herself a slut is simply saying that she has no problem with her - probably but not necessarily - promiscuous sexuality.
