I want to say I love you. I feel a lot of love for a lot of people. But there are only a select few I feel comfortable saying it to, like my family.

It's funny because I come from Louisiana, where it's practically mandatory for us cajuns to show love by hugging and kissing our relatives whenever we meet. It never was my favorite thing since I'm a private person, and I only feel you should say I love you (or express love) when you truly mean it; when you truly FEEL it, instead of because you should and you have to.

I wish I could say it more, though, when I do feel it. I feel like I would be rejected. Like that person doesn't want my love.

I lived in Louisiana the first 31 years of my life... let your love light shine !!
If you leave home you will truly FEEL the love from everybody that knew you as a child.

I flew back home for a big "get out of jail party" last month and was totally impressed with the amount of old school friends that showed up... I told them all "I love you" and they all gave me a big ole' hug and said "I love you" back.
I have no problem giving guys I was friends with 10 years ago a hug if they want one.
It's the people that stick their hand out to you that you should feel an obligation to.

I've got my bad ass biker next door neighbor saying I love you when one of us are leaving town...
    he is officially Louisiana'fied.

Haha, that's cool. I didn't know you were from La.

We moved away when I was 14, but I still love that place and all my relatives there. I still give them hugs even if I don't feel like it at that time. They wouldn't understand if I didn't.

My aunt Jan has a moustache and she always gave those sideways kisses, she came to my party and I was glad to see her too..
and get one of those big hairy *SMOOCHES*

Most of my relatives get an automatic hug, I have a few nephews that I used to beat up when they were little and they are all big n bad now... so they just try to give me one of those big boy handshakes,,,,
but I snag them up and hug them too.

My family is a hug family. I work at the same place as my dad, the guys try to make fun of us when we hug at work. But its the "man-hug" mind you. The half shake half hug type deal

If it's your dad,,, n you are at work... the most you should do is hold one hand, pull each other's arm together & bang chest.

the workplace is a whole different atmosphere.

no I say it all the time.. I just don't want them to think I mean I'm in love with them.. there's a big difference.. if I'm in love I'll say it.. "I'm in love with you" - and later, I love you.. and remind them I'm in love.. but just "I love you" to friends I love.. yeah I say it.. and if they say it to me it's fine.. I don't think it's weird..

I don't say it too often to friends, but my close friends have all at one stage or another heard me tell them I love them. It's kinda weird though. I don't like to hear them saying it to me. It makes me feel responsible towards them somehow.

I say I love you a lot, but only if I'm really feeling it. My best friend and I always tell one another that we love each other before we get off of the phone. [IMG]

We started off just shaking hands whenever he left for the day (he's on 1st shift, I'm on 2nd).....but it kinda built up as a joke with the other guys, and now everybody expects it lol.

I don't really like the telling one another "I love you" when you get off the phone thing. It's different if you hardly talk on the phone, but when you talk to that person everyday it becomes more of a routine than actuall emotion. It should be said when it's felt, not as a goodbye.
