Am I too young to do acid? I've already done it once when I was 15 so its too late to tell me not to do it. But I never even thought that it could be bad for someone to do it at this young of age. Is there a possibility that it could effect me in the future? Like, can it effect my "still developing mind"? Its starting to worry me..

Well maybe children shouldn't take lsd because they may not be mature enough to recover from a bad trip(I've never had a bad trip so I don't know).

16 isn't too young and if you feel mature and your mindset feels good I don't see a problem. Adults say teenagers have a terrible mindset though.

to me, age doesn't decide when you use psychedelics.....you decide. If you feel your ready and your in the right mindset to be doing them, then go ahead. But if you feel your not ready or are just looking to get as fucked up as possible...stay away.

And if 16 is too young, then what am I thinking? ;)

I say wait until you are 18. That's the best time for a male to eat acid.

    Bad joke man.

And seriously, if you think you may have something wrong with you then you need to figure that out. Now.

Their wasn't a joke in the section you quoted so I don't know what you're talking about. I don't think their is anything wrong with me, but I was just worried their could be something wrong with me that I don't realize because of acid use. I feel I am certainly mature enough to use it and I am not using it so I can "see cool stuff". I am asking soley based on age, not muturity, because no one here knows me. Can I get anyone else's input on this? It seems as if some people think I should not do it at this age. I am willing to accept that and not do it anymore until I am older, but I would just like to hear some other people's thoughts on this. Thanks!

    Spoken like a true 14 year-old.

Sure I was also only 16 when I first tried blotter but I still wouldn't suggest it. Your mind isn't done fully developing yet, meaning you could permanently damage brain cells with the repeated use of lsd. Hell, 30 year-olds could screw up there mind with too much. I would have waited till I turned 18 to first try acid, but, I didn't. End of story.

You are joking right? Damaging brain cells with repeated LSD use?

Try not drinking alcohol ever again if you are so concerned about neuron damage.

I didn't think LSD could kill brain cells. But it could amplify an unfinished mind making it harder to change the flaws because they are amplified. My experience with psychedelics are limited so I don't know well how much or if its harder to change amplified mind characteristics.

But Psychedelic means mind mind(psyche) manifesting(delos) so it aid mind development.

also marijuana supposedly improves brain development: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Study_finds_marijuana_use_leads_to_brain_development_in_rats

Maybe someone needs to bring a little more ambiguity against these points and enlighten us on the relative difficulty of changing amplified characteristics.

dont tell ure freands at school about acid
    they simply wont understand
for a day or two after i tripped i wanted everyone too see what i saw and it was in my head that my mission was too get everyone too try it, soo i went around telling everyone how much better a person i am now and how much i learned and how amazing it was and offering to buy it for my freands cuz i wanted them too understand that it was sooo much more then seeing pretty colors.....and well lets just say they all thought i was nutz...they were like youre not a better person you just think that you are cuz it killed too many brain cells and how my brain bled and how im an idiot for doing it and all this other BS. At my highschool out of the 700 kids me and 7 other kids are the only ones in the whole school to have done acid and out of the 7 kids only 3 or 4 of them had very strong acid. soo very few understand. they just understand what the BS health book tells them...they dont understand how much you can learn from tripping and the whole mind expansion part. i wish i could show them but there not willing too learn. but i convinced some of them too try mushrooms soo hopefully that will give them a little glimpse.

i heard that in the 80s and stuff a large percent of people did it...why do soo few people do it now?

awd, I have similar anecdote. I was talking about the benefits of LSD to some guys at my school and pretty soon word got around that I was using LSD and some gossipy girls thought I was going to ruin my life and make my brain bleed and that I was on lsd 24/7 and some more ignorance and doltishness that I don't want to type because it makes me cringe. Well, they notified the school for "my protection" but fortunately I had no visible/testable evidence of any drug around the time when I was brought down to the school psychologist/substance abuse center.

I am still a somewhat vocal proponent of psychedelics though. I am safe from them because I was not busted then so those people won't try to "protect me" in the future.

I think this is the most common theory on why lsd use is down: http://www.boingboing.net/2004/04/06/why-is-lsd-use-down.html

I feel very fortunate to know a street pharmacist that provides genuine uncut lsd-25.

But some adults say that it's the kids that are at fault; that today kids are just looking for a superficial buzz, not the deep spiritual satisfaction from lsd.

man, does age have to be put into everything?

when has LSD damaged brain cells? breathing air can damage brain cells.

You can screw up your mind using LSD at any age. Developing mind or not.
