What is your favorite head shop in the area? I live in Lakewood and there are a total of about 30 just in town alone... My favorite is Phat Glass on South Broadway. They have a great selection, fun GD accessories and they always seem to have a half price sale on hand blown glass. there are soo many in the area, but I prefer to go to the GD themed ones, like Phat glass, Heads of state.... some are a bit too hardcore and goth for me, all black and dark. others give me that groovy feeling.... I only wish there were an underground freecycle or craigs list for used glass and whatnot....everyone i know has either more than they need or not what they want.... my friend did just lend me the volcano and my my....!
I'm in Southwest Littleton. The last couple of years my go to shop has become Headed West on Broadway and oxfordish, it has the giant mural on the north side. ANother personal favorite is Smoke Signals. I've never really shopped at any of the ones on West Colfax. I've heard good things about Daddy Danks (or something along these lines) its on wads across from alameda HS. My one buddy swears buy the Smoker Friendly near Columbine high school. Small selection but its a couple blocks from his house so he prefers teh convenience factor. I've found some awesome glass at Freaky's on broadway/1st, but i'm not a huge fan of that store
There is a ton in Boulder; some have cool stuff in them posters, stickers postcards and fun junk to look at if you get board. Not sure which is the best. I have a metal pipe and a one hitter and those fill all my needs. I never did get in to all the glass stuff. I have had a few glass pipes but I like the metal better they don’t break as easy and they draw better.
I'll second Smoke Signals. I'm not a common purchaser, but I decided to treat my sweetie, and oh my, the tech has changed since I was a smoker (I love Twirling Hippy's goods). But the guy working was patient and informative. We swapped "stupid ways you have to say things when you work in a head shop" stories. It is an RTD stop on the 0 or 27, too. How convenient.
I used to go to Phat Glass a lot when I was a kid, but then I switched to Smoke Signals when they opened because they were closer. Only been to headed west once and they seemed pretty cool.
