n another era where gasoline wasn't platinum fortified for enhanced profitability I'd think that would be a fun acquisition but I've been overcome by a serious, possibly fatal case of sensibility and must restrict my interest to daydreaming.
I actaully could be. I mean, i havent been looking at any cars remotly like that, or that old. But i have been looking in that price range, and im going to be up in that area, so it would be easy. Any idea what the gas millage is? And how many miles it has on it? I could paint it flat black and turn it into a bat-mobile.
nice car!! heres the links to my car/truck pics and vids for when you get your computer working again http://community.webshots.com/user/94f450sd http://www.putfile.com/94f450sd/media
oh i forgot to put the year. it's a 81. I'm not sure on the miles, but I can find out tomorrow. I know that they are low considering. The orginal owner was a woman and she kept the car pretty mint, and then it got in the hands of some guys, but some little kid got run over by the trailer it was on or something and died so they got rid of it. Then it ended up with some other kid who didn't have his lisence yet, and just kept it in the garage till he sold it to my dad. I think my dad paid like 3400 for it, but he spent a few grand easy completely restoring the interior. New upholstered seats, painted all the pieces inside and everything. He's a perfectionist so you know that everything is done right. My ex did all the repairs under the hood, and fixed all the weather stripping around the windows and stuff. They welded any spots of rust that were found inside the car too. So basically the only thing wrong with it is that it's in need of a paint job. My dad won't paint it cause he's afraid he won't want to sell it. He's got a cdl lisence and works for the state, and this car is too dangerous for him. He's afraid of losing his cdl and stuff. That's why he's selling. You won't find these cars in this great condition anymore cause they all got beat up and junked. So if you ask me 5800 is cheap!
personally its not a car I would drive, but after doing a bit of googlin...it seems to be a pretty damn good price compared to whatelse is available.
yea it's not really my style either. Maybe if it was the firebird like the smokey and the bandit car or something else. But it is in great shape for the year. That's why he's asking that price. Everyone else felt he should of gone higher, but he's an honest guy.
I don't think the price is high, considering all the work your dad put into it to make it like new. It looks great.
ive never really cared for that body style of camaro but i do like how clean it is. your dad did a great job on the interior which would be a good selling point for someone looking for a car like this. ive always liked the older body style of camaro like around 69 or something around that year. ive always liked cars and working on them but we just never have the right place and equipment to work on them. i would sugguest maybe posting it on ebay or maybe even an ad in the local paper if hes looking to sell it quickly. most of the people on here arnt around your area so this might not be the best place to post it. although i think that there is a section on these forums for like buy/sell/trade or something like that so maybe you would have better luck there if hes really trying to sell it.
