    Your question amuses me.

    While I'm inclined to say that astrology is an excellent tool for helping one understand one's tendencies and potential, I also believe that each of us has the divine gift of Free Will. You *can* choose to not be a complete ass.

    Then the next question would be what house is Venus in?

    The highest degree planet has just as much influence as the Sun and ascendent. (although a case can be made for progressions, that when that planet changes signs it will demarc a major change in life.)

    In my case the highest degree planet shows my main focus in life (for me it's a matter of relationships).

    what do you guys mean when you say planet of the highest degree? are you talking about what planet is in the midheaven?
