My First Grow: A stealthy and hopefully rewarding journey!

Hey everyone!

I'm gowing to start a small scale grow project. My first ever grow!!! I plan on only growing 1-2 plants and growing them to 1-2.5 feet high. I'm only 14, so I need to keep it stealthy. I'f you have any tips at all, please send 'em along. Remember, I'm only 14 so stealth is everything! I need help for grox box ideas, lighting, and ODOR CONTROL!!!

Don't do it in your parents house unless they're cool with it. Otherwise head out doors, that's the better option, honestly, unless you can afford some proper equipment.

 

Well, I found the perfect thing for my grow box! It's a 13"x11"x11" amp case. It's a black, light weight, compact, heavy duty guitar amp case. It's thick to the point that it will hold its shape, but is thin enough to the point wear I can cut all neccesarie holes for fans and lights and whatnot. It holds its temperature very well. It was in my cold attic and the inside's still like 40 degrees while my room's like 70. It's got a small pocket on the side so I can either store all my growing shit (mister bottle, nutrients, thermometer, ect) or mount a fan in it. So far, I plan on securing two 2-3" deep tuperware containers in the bottom to hold my soil in. I would like to hook up a hydroponics kit, but like i said, i'm only 14, so i dont have the resources or the space. But my next concern is wear do i get fans and lights, and how do i hook them up? I've got an electrical jack within 5-10' of my grow closet so i'm all set there. I just need to know how to connect the fans and shit to the extension cord. PLEASE HELP!

Listen to lune, smokejumper. If you get caught by the wrong folks, your parent can have their house taken away. Do it outside the house, or better yet, wait a few years. Really.

I live in like the middle of nowhere. Who's going to catch me? How bad does weed really smell when it's growing? The box ahs proper ventilation and is in the attic, only accessable by a wooden ladder that my mom can't climb and my stepdad hardly notices.

 

This brings me to my next question. How bad does growing weed smell. On a scale of 1 to 10. I have these cheap 20 buck KC Brains Haze Special. And guys, don't worry about telling tow or not to grow it in my huse. My stepdad could care less. He still smokes weed, so I he found out, he'de probly just make me give him a third of the crop. LOL. No but seriously, I need tips on lighting...BADLY!!!

 

I asked my pops about growing and he said he wouldn't tell my mom so I'm all set! Send the advice, PLEASE!!!

 

Hazes get huge, you're cab is waaaay to small for those.

 

O...well what would you recomend dude? My freind can hook me up with seds ofabsicly any kind. But hats good forlowriders?

 

in a grow cab that big your going have to lst (light strength training). which basically means your going to have to tie your plant down and get it to grow sideways instead of growing up because your cab is so small. as far as lighting goes your going need cfl's (compact fluorescent lights) they don't give out much heat which is a huge concern in a grow cab of your size. there also cheap and small. your going to need at least 50-80w of warm white bulbs which are 2700k color spectrum bulbs (for flowering you prob wont have to do much veging). as far as smell goes you prob wont have to worry about much because your plant will be so small. the most you prob yield is 5-10g at the most and that all depends on what kind of genetics you get. if you really want to go through all that trouble for quad every few months then your gana need to do ALOT of reading up. as lune said i would suggest signing up for a forum like icmag, icmag is a amazing sight and they have a really good micro grow section. i would try geting a thread going and geting some advice from some growers

So I've done some research, and I figured that I should pro'lly just buy a stealth grow cab off line. That brings me to a new question. How do I get it to my house without my parents seing it?

 

Smokejumper, what you're asking can and has filled several books, ther many fine grow faqs. that you should probly become familiar with!>)
