As much as I can't say that war is a good thing, I think that world peace would ultimately be more horrifying. The reason for this is because if there were no enemies, then there would more than likely be one ruling class with absolute power over everyone. Picture all of the world's richest people from all the different countries coming together, pooling their intellects, and deciding that the time is right to make everyone into their slaves, and you get a good idea of what world peace would probably mean. Under the capitalist system, competition between nations is pretty much the only thing preventing the conflict from shifting until it's purely the ruling class versus its subjects-- however much this is in place now, under a unified world government or lack of nations, it would undoubtedly be worse.
What type of capitalism? Crony capitalism is evil but the free market is the perfect economic system.
I can appreciate your point, but I disagree on one aspect: I don't think there would be peace in a one world government either. You would have people fighting the government, fighting each other because of special treatment, fighting because of religion, differences, race, money, etc. Human will always fight each other no matter what the government situation. Until people can recognize the fact that none of their religions endorse the killing of another human being (believer or non-believer); that there really is enough land for everyone if they will just work together; and that we really aren't all that different from one another - then we could work towards steps of peace. Obviously I have over-simplified the issues/solutions. But I don't think a one-world government can solve all the issues of the world. I agree with you, they would exacerbate them. Freedoms, rights, families, everything would be taken away from the masses; but I doubt they would take away the fighting. I think the one-world government would use it as a form of cleansing. Create a superficial issue between two groups of troublesome people and let them go at it without wasting government sources. No good can come of a one-world government, but some good can come of trying to broker peace and understanding between nations. People need to be open-minded enough to hear it.
umm.......don't we already have a one world gov. for the most part? the majority of our world leaders are related or have hidden alliances. war is just one big collisseum and we're the gladiators. we don't need war, our already existing ruling class does to keep us distracted while they gain more power. we can't win by fighting them, either. we can only win through refusing to take part in this retarded-ass violence that we have been convinced is necessary.
The thing you have to remember is that wars are between governments, not people. Most people don't want war. However, like Hitler's Reich-Marshall Hermann Goering once said, the people can be brought to do the bidding of their leaders, simply by creating an outside enemy and telling the people that they're under attack by this outside force. And once you realize that we've really been under a world government for a long, long time (just not an open world government), you realize that both sides of all wars and conflicts for at least the past 200+ years have been funded and under the control of the same few elites at the top. We know the first two world wars, which resulted in the global body known as the UN, had both sides funded by the same group of global elites via Wall Street and London. Both communism and nazism were funded into existence by the West, because their method of control is by use of what is called the Hegelian dialectic. This is where two sides, apparently opposite to one another, are pitted up against each other to create a desired outcome, or, synthesis. So the purpose of all the wars and bloodshed we have seen over the years has been to create a presumed justification in the global consciousness, to move us futher towards an open one world government under the premise that there will be no more wars and everyone will live in peace with their neighbor. This is the global vision they have been trying to sell us with the UN for the past 60 years. But, as you pointed out, under this world socialist dictatorship, the war will then turn into an open war against all humanity, and we know these people want to drastically reduce the world population by 80-90%. The world military in waiting, known as NATO, will become the official policemen of the world. This will be used to go after people and nations who try and rebel against their global order.

actually, there were jews in germany's regime during the time of world war 2. there were waffen ss officers that had jewish ancestry. to say that all nazis hated all jews is just nonsense. as far as the six million number goes, i'm pretty hard rpessed to believe it. seeing as how they never found six million bodies. but i guess those magic bone grinding machines just magicly disappeared huh?
