I'm so interested in this. I'd love to hear about some of your experiences with your guides (Signs, connection, asking for help, etc.)
Well the one of my guides (and the only one I am completely aware of) is pretty much with me all the time, she sends me signs of reassurance whenever I'm worried or nervous, it can be anything as simple as a song or her hand on my shoulder. She helps me every single day in one way or another. She can be the BIGGEST pain in the ass sometimes, but I've grown to love her. She always has been and I know she'll always be there and straight up when it counts. Gotta love the Spirit Guides lol. Well, not much else to say, except for details and such. Shannon xo
ghost, my spirit guides are real, live humans--at least, the ones I know of are, though sometimes I hear "voices" of different entities who might be guides also. These people spent about four years in almost daily encounters convincing me that they knew my every thought, and they put me through some painful experiences that helped me learn to hear their voices in my mind. My primary guide right now, whom I'll call "Emily," spent several months being my close friend in the external world--and enemy, at times--and demonstrated several times to me in face-to-face conversations and in e-mails that my perception of our telepathic relationship coincided with external reality. My guides sometimes give me love and comfort, they sometimes give me psychic insights, they sometimes tell me when they're going to do something in my life, they sometimes annoy the hell out of me, and they sometimes entertain me--here is a story about one time: I had just helped my family move into a house in Massachusetts, and was driving alone back to our old house in Illinois to finish packing it and to prepare it for sale. On the way to Illinois I stopped at a motel one night, and took out my laptop computer to relax playing solitaire. It soon became obvious that my guides were giving me the ability to know beforehand which deals I could win. To test this, I would keep re-dealing until I got one I knew I could win, and then I would play it. I always won when I knew I would. Then I tried it the other way--only playing games I knew I would lose--and though I tried as hard as I could, I would lose those games. As I was trying this out, I felt my guides' amusement, and I said, "So you decided to entertain me on my lonely journey, huh?" The next day I no longer had this ability--it was just for that one evening.
Because my intuition doesn't abruptly turn on and then off like that. I could only do this little trick for that one evening, and my guides were distinctly acting like it was a little surprise they had decided to give me for the time being.
My guides show me signs all the time when I am doing the right thing. About four months ago I asked them what was going on with sexual relationships and myself. I wanted to know answers and if I should be with anyone.( I asked this because Im coming out of a divorce. ) About one week later one of my best friends went out with me and kissed me very pationatly that night. We've been together since. I also had a friend call me the other night, I believe it was Monday, all upset and worried. She was fealing so lost and alone and didnt know what to do. I just started talking and after talking for awhile,( i honestly couldnt even remember half of the things that I had said in the past 1/2 hour,) I looked at the clock and it was 11:11pm. I stopped full sentance and had to regain my thoughts after i noticed it. There is acouple of stories whos' next?
Uuummm... well, there are a lot of things that have happened with my guides. I've put some of them in other threads. Mostly, I get signs and information about creative endeavors. I've been given songs by my guides, although I'm not really sure why. I've not done anything with the songs... lol. They send me songs as messages, too. I also get dreams from them. My female guide talks to me, and she is a constant comfort... my male guide is only around once in awhile or only chimes in with a message when it's important. They've also been with me during meditation sessions and showed me the life path folder of a friend, although I actually came away with very little memory of information. If I'm not mistaken, they're behind most of my good poetry, and I know they provide me with the information I get during tarot readings.
My guides are mostly abusive most of the time, but I suspect they've learned a new trick, randomly through out the school day I'll hear someone whispering my name in just a way that I know it wasn't someone calling me or someone else with my name. LOL, then I ask around and get a bunch of innocent "Me? Now why would I do that?"...pffft. But they also fuel most of my creative drive and I owe most of my stories to them.
my spirit guides only appear in dreams, first time was an "introduction" in a not-so-cryptic message, i first referred to her as an angel ( i did not know about spirit guide back then), the second time she appeared was the day before my daughter's dog died. he died rather unexpectedly. eventually i read about spirit guides , i also "met" her brother & father in other dreams, there is always some sort of sybolism in these dreams tho some i dont understand.
I had a guide come to me in a dream a few years ago. It was my only real experience with guides. It was a young girl and she appeared in my bedroom. I was really scared at first but then she smiled and said that she was my guide and that her name was something like Amanda (I wasn't completely sure) and then I wasn't scared. Nothing else really happened. It was just like she was introducing herself to me, but there was a real sense of love and calm in the dream.
