ya do know credit card bills are self inflicted eh. this is really less of a confesion and more of a bitching session. Any ways, no money problems for for me right now. my bank acount is sitting around +$15000. But dont worry Im looking for a house, so I'll be broke like every else soon enough
well, I just needed to vent. The money was for my new place. I needed to get everything from air con to fridge to shelves to shoe cabinets to washing machines to even a bed and sheets. I know I needed to spend the money regardless of what. After all, I still need a bed to sleep in and I do need some place to keep some food if I am to save money in the long run. Just that when the bill comes, its still looks scary, even though I had already save up the money previously for furnishing the place. I had to use the credit card because after having been robbed before, I am not a big fan of carrying big buckets of cash around.
credit cards are not evil, its just some people are stupid and stupid people should not have credit cards ive never had any problems wiht my credit cards. I use my visa daily like a debit card, becasue its cheaper to use and thier are no user fees for a credit card. I keep track of what I spend, how much I make. I pay every bill off in fulll, and never pay a cent of interest. I have two cards. one has low credit amount is my daily user, and the other is locked away for emergancy use. plus I have 2 grand bank over draft limit, wich I somtimes use becasue interest is only 7%, and not freekin 21.666 % like visa. And dont think Im rich or somthing I only make $14/h an hour Candian. something like $10/hUS.
Credit cards are designed to keep you poor. The interest rates are astronomical. Get a basic debit card, you can only spend what you have then. The problem is youre either disciplined with money or your not and you have to be honest with yourself which! You'd better tighten that belt another notch now vanilla....
I don't do the whole credit card thing, but I have to say I feel sorry for you. Most of the people who are giving you grief probably don't have a money problem. It's easy to say get rid of your credit cards, when you have money.
Thanks guys. Actually, I don't have a money problem. I always paid the entire amount dued. Like I said in an earlier post. my bill went up because I moved and I had to get the necessities for my new house. Not that I went out shopping for shoes or clothes. Its just that when the bill comes, it still hurts although I would've needed to spend the same amount if I use cash. I still need to buy a bed, still need to buy curtains, still need to buy a shoe cabinet, still need to install certain things. Just that its been a while since the bill is so high. Usually, my card is for little indulgences, not for furnishing a new place. By the way, I know how evil they can be having paid off some huge debt some years back. I lived like a pauper for 8 months! After that, you just don't look at credit cards the same way anymore.
Well...even if you're not rich (yet) with the way you manage your money, you're bound to become rich someday...WOW. VERY impressive money mangement skills at 24. I wish I was as smart at your age... I hope every one reading your post takes the very valuable tip you gave them about paying it off in full, and not incurring interest. VERY SMART, INDEED. One thing I've learned in my working years: it doesn't matter how much you make, it's how well you manage. Money is a vessel to be used, but living beyond your means is the quickest way to get to poverty.
PLEASE tell thesse yung'ins where it's at!!!! I feel your pain, my Bruthah...I too am suffering the consequences of my youth...but I've learned some very hard and valuable lessons along the way. :X IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL THEM, CUT THEM!!!:X
eh im that not that perfect, ill be in some debt pretty quick, sending my folks to mexico for thier 25 aniversary (big $$$ ) Christmas is comming up too. geuss I'll be eating kraft dinner & fried spam for a couple months
Ok. I finally did it. I went and transfer the entire amount to the bank. Wow. That hurts. Parting with so much money at one go. I cannot move again in the next couple of years.
