How could someone living in a small college apartment keep shrooms heated to the proper growing temperature all the time without spending all that money buying an electric terarium especially for shrooms? What do you do to keep your grow at the right temperature?

heat bombs are nice, stick a submersible aquarium heater in soda bottle full of sterile water.

yeah stick that in with your shroomies and a thermometer, there is often an adjustment knob on the top, which you need to twiddle with until you reach the right temp. wrap some ducttape around the heater so iif you knock it over yu dont spill any water.

shroomery is pretty good yeah, seriously check it out, there's a lot of interesting teks on there.

if ya wrap a sleeping bag around your box it'll be hella more efficient. dont look past cardboard boxes, if you line them with trash bag plastic and duct tape, sandwhich a decent layer of insulation between the cardboard and the plastic, polyfill, that wierd felt like stuff they put under carpeting or some sort of packing material are good insulation that can often be happened upon free.

alcohol, is the mind killer, dumped peroxide all over my arm and it poured down into my glove, had to soak it in running water for a hella long time to neutralize it so it'd quit eating off my skin, so take this post with a grain of salt for I am drunk, took the mountain remedy for all ailments, moonshine.

The heater should be next to, or near your bin or box. Use individual trays inside the bin. Keep some water loose in the bottom of the bin. The 80-84 degrees + the water = humidity. Try to seal off that large wardrob. Wipe the area with alcohol and cover any carpet with plastic. Good luck.

lemme see, original poster what stage of growth are you dealing with? loose water is bad, very bad, stick some trays of damp perlite in the bottom, much easier to mess with, better evaporitive properties than plain water. an airstone in a jar of 10 to 1 water peroxide is also very good at upping humidy, if you set all this up under sterile conditions you really dont need to seal off your wardrobe, I fuckin hate it when people tell you to plastic over and seal all your storage space, stupid fuckers this a closet not a growroom assholes, is awsome when you open a closet and it looks like a normal closet but it's actualy packed with drugs.

Mushrooms make there own heat as they grow. So depending on how cool it is around your area will depend if you can get away with just putting them in a box wrapped in a thick blanket. But if your temp is lower than 65ish then you'll need something a bit better like a bottle full of warm water to put in the container and change that out 2 times a day or, a aqurium heater or somthing to that effect. Lastly, if you have one, you can put your box on top of the fridge were it's warm.

It would be a good idea to buy a good electric thermonitor to keep an eye on it. However thoughs temp arn't life or death for the commpn shroom, just the fastest growth rate, if you can't get them it'll just take a few more week no biggy.
