I'm on 50mgs of sertraline which is the generic for it, and I'm supposed to take it everyday, but I always forget and take it whenever I remember, but I ran out a few days ago and haven't refilled the script yet. This morning I've felt really strange. My head feels strange. Like it's not dizzy or anything, but maybe a bit fuzzy. It feels like I've taken some drug or something..

Does anyone know what happens if you just stop like that, and will it be okay to keep taking them once i get the script filled again? I'm going to call it in right now. But I don't like how I'm feeling, and I don't feel like calling my doctor.

wheen yourself of it.you can suffer from withdraw from it. just reduce the amount slowly till your down to lowest amount of pill then just stop... but zoloft can be horriable to go cold turkey off it.trust me ive seen my mom try to do it several times

lol it's okay. The only lower amount from 50 is 25mgs though. My doctor asked me if I wanted to go down to that, but I don't cause it really does help me with anxiety and my quality of life.

i was talking about cuttin the pill or using a pill crusher and swollowing only a certain amount or some sort. i am told i need to be on depression pills and so forth. when i was young i was told i had adhd, bi-ploar,forms of insomnia, and major anziety.(probley fucked up on spelling). but i cant convince my self to take pills on a regular basis.i dont want to become addicted to anything.my ulitmate goal in life is to be able to live on natures land by my self. which would erase all sythetic drug usage and automobiles.lol.i turn out actually much happier thinking of pleasure of being alone with no worries.though sometimes i fall into stuppermodes

i have been prescribed both zoloft and later paxil waaay back.

i ignored the advice to ween myself off of the paxil, and instead just took normal doses up till the day i ran out.

i suffered severe withdrawl and almost stole some from my brother so i'd feel normal. basically it was like having a headrush for three days straight....vision was "off" in an indescribable way, occasionally as bad as with a headrush...not quite dizziness but a VERY wierd feeling in my head and slightly whacky balance....all sorts of things. felt like shit.

Well I used to be on Zoloft and after a while I just stopped taking it, I was on a fairly high dose too, I think.
    Nothing bad happened to me.
But then again I wasn't on it for too long.

But I fuckin hate Zoloft. I'm sure you already know this but it makes people get drunk wayyy more quickly. I didn't know that you couldn't drink as much when you're on it so I went to a party where I hardly knew anyone (I had just moved) and got drunk as fuckkkk and I was known as the school slut for the next few weeks.

Yes the way you described how you felt was EXACTLY how I felt today!!!! And then later on I started getting this weird headache type feeling, but I was able to refill, and I took the pill, and some tylenol, and feel much better now. It sort of makes me nervous for when I do want to ween off.

It definitely doesn't make me get any more drunk lol, but I haven't been drinking as much lately. I don't think you're supposed to drink because it changes how the drug works in your brain, but I'm not sure how alcohol affects that.

Tonight I had 2 drinks at Friday's restuarant made with southern comfort, amaretto, and vodka, and I still wasn't drunk!

I was on xfexxor xr, and i weened off of it, and i still had horrible withdrawl for 2 and a half weeks. I was really depressed, i kept shaking, i had insomnia, my body couldent control its temp. and i kept getting really cold and hot every 5 minutes. I tried to kill myself a few times, punched my mom, it was litterally the worst experiance of my life. But then again, its considered one of the worst drugs for withdrawl. If sertraline is in the same class of drugs though there is a good chance that it is bad too.

Actually, my buddy's girlfriend just got out of the hospital 2 days ago because of Zoloft withdrawl.

She stopped cold-turkey and ended up having a heart attack and a seizure (or two).

Anti-depressants change your brain chemistry, they're not REAL drugs. Stopping is a fucking stupid idea and if you DO stop without asking the doctor or doing some EXCELLENT research, you should probably be dying anyways.

Drugs aren't for fucking around with. If you don't know what you're doing you will fuck your shit up.

i never really understood how paxil or zoloft helped for depression or anxioty. i could see maybe taking a couple valums or xanax if you have really bad anxioty but not zoloft. everyone i knew that took zoloft ended up more fucked up on it then they were before they took it. i guess if it works for you then keep taking it but i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

ive taken alot of different pills and ive been around just about any pill you could think of. i never understood how people get to the point where they need it to live. the only thing ive ever really liked was smoking pot and thats nothing compared to some prescription drugs. i havnt smoked in about 3 days i think and it wouldnt bother me to not smoke but i might here tonight even though i dont have hardly any.
