want to love...

I want to love someone, be it a guy or a girl I don't care. I don't think I am bi but how would I know for sure, and if I am it's no big deal. I just want to love someone, or at least like. I'm 21 years old and I have NEVER liked or loved anyone as more than a friend. Am I incapable of love? I find some guys attractive but, I repeat, I have never loved any of them. Why is that? Its not normal! My friends keep finding people they like some even say that they love them, why can't I?

 

I wonder the same thing...

Cheer up. You're young. You may not be the hopeless romantic type. But if you spend some time with a guy (or girl?) you like, things'll come about naturally. Stop worrying so much. It's bad for you.

 

I think love is something that just happens. I used to think that I would never fall in love with anyone, I mean I would care for people, really like them, but I would get really uncomfortable when they said they loved me, because I felt bad about not feeling the same way. I also never believed them when they said it, because to me it was all just silly fun, more like friends than anything else.
Then I fell in love and love is crazy.

I am sure love is great, but I dont think its really for me. If it comes, great. If not, then I ll marry some dude for money...

 

I think falling in love with a person is harder when you already love everybody

 

I have always had a strange feeling about using the word love and loving someone. I cant even tell my parents i love them. They know i do but that word never comes out of my mouth. I have strong feelings for some people. I never say that i love them. Same goes for girlfriends. You wont hear me say it, not even in regular conversation.

 

That is so true.
I have a lot of love for everyone, for my friends, for my family, for God...
I cant committ myself to only one person and to give all of me. I dont want to.

You could look at it as a blessing. Some people have the opposite problem. There are people out there who want the same as you do, just to love. The problems comes from just loving one person at a time. People always end up getting their feelings hurt, sometimes badly, when too many lovers take the scene.

You should try saying it sometime, well really what matters is that you show them, but it's always a good thing to hear.
I always tell everyone I love them, including trees, the sun, dogs, just about anything really.

 

But that's the thing, when you start giving all of you, you discover that there's always more to give. It's beautiful

 

Yeah, I know. And I dont think my love for any man can top my love for my family and God.
I show love, but I never told anyone I love you. It just feels too weird...I dont want to be that emotional.

love is waking up hungover at 5 in the morning on a harsh november morning, to go to work in a dismal crowded store to carry things around all day and try to shrug off the constant abuse your horribly overweight boss and his awkward, sycophantic, sniveling lapdog who is the manager lay on you for 8 hours straight while every week handing out skimpy minimum wage paychecks. the car won't start so you have to walk a mile, freezing rain coming down in sheets, as the metal wires that hold up half of the canvas on the umbrella give out so half of the umbrella is dangling in your face and the right side of your body is becoming completely soaked. etc.

It shouldnt top it, it's just a different kind of love. I dont know, things change in our perception of things all the time. I used to think entirely different about love before being in love and after being in love.
Still, I love everyone

It may sound cliche, but perhaps the right person for you has not yet entered the stage. Or at least a very special person...

I bet you will find someone. You have all the time in the world. When you meet the right person it will be easy to love.

My problem is not finding someone to love, but finding the right person to love.

I have already accepted that it will have to be someone very special because my lifestyle is different than most people want to live.

Still, I will find someone and so will you.
