Marc Emery goes for a plea bargain!

Instead of potentially spending life in an American prison, Canadian Marc Emery has agreed to spend five years in a Canadian jail - which is bullshit because he shouldn't be in jail at all. (He was blindsided by the DEA while IN CANADA and charged for selling pot seeds on the Internet)

Sucks that he's not gonna fight it, but it wouild be very unlikely he'd win....so at least he'll remain in Canada, because I know he doesn't want to be in America.

My friend is from Canada (he's going to school there now too) and he went into the BCMP (Marc's store) and actually met Marc, when Marc asked where he was from he said Florida (cause at the time he still lived here). Marc's Response? "I'm sorry to hear that" haha

It'd be a shame to see him in a shitty US prison, at least maybe he'll be in a somewhat less shitty Canadian prison...it's just crazy he'll be serving 5-10 years for something that hundreds of other Canadian are openly doing.

In other words, fuck my government.

 

Agree. But talking with Jodie, she said it was really his only option. They are both convinced that if he went to the States, she would never see him again.
I doubt Marc will be silent, even from jail - raging Olympic granny Betty Krawczyk (jailed for ignoring an injuction during an environmental protest) was really vocal from the Canadian facitility where she was held and I suspect we'll be hearing even more from Marc since he's got so many people wanting to help.

Yeah, sorry - your government does suck If it makes you feel better, so does ours.

 

Im from Vancouver and I stop by Marc's shop every now and then. Its pretty cool, they have volcano vaporizers set up in the back for people to use. Its pretty cool how the cops really arent bothered by people smoking weed there, they are just not allowed to sell. Marc is a really cool guy. It sucks that hes going to jail. But I bet jails not gonna to bad, hes gonna have lots of fans in jail, and theres probably gonna be weed in there every now and then.

Marc has tons of support and will for a very long time. Never give up the fight for legalization.

 

I know marc personally. He's a sadistic asshole, and though he is a pedafyle, cheats on his wife, treats people with shit he doesnt deserve it however now i have to find a new dealer he had best buds around

To add an addition, Marc had stated he was pleading guilty to hopefully spare the other two people harsh sentances. Cannot remember their names offhand.
