they think it may actually ,,,, SNOW,, or not.. if anyone lives from atlanta north to chattanooga and east to south carolina,, be sure and make a mad dash to the grocery store with the other idiots before they are completly sold out of bread, milk, bottled water, and batteries.. WTF?? are we living in 1910?? do people actually think they will be snowbound for weeks? i mean they dont even know if its going to do anything and folks are acting like its the blizzard of 93 coming all over again.. i swear to god, mention snow in the south and peoples IQ level drops by 40 points.. its just stupid...
I live in the south. It's cold and i hear we might get some snow tomorrow night. But im not freaking out, i like the cold and the snow.
It snows every year in colorado, but by next winter no one will remember how to drive in it. People freak out in the snow, and in the south its so unexpected that people go completely insane. I lived in virginia in 1993, I remember it well, but not fondly. I had to drag the air mattress up the hill by myself, and my mom didn't save me any hot chocolate. very depressing. anyway, just sit at home and laugh at the people on the news.
Haha yes, i remember a few years back we had like 2 inches of snow and everyone freaked out, school was canceled, and it was a snow day. But, by the end of the day all the snow melted.
oh 93 was great,, we had 28 inches,,most snow by far ive ever saw in georgia.. i lived out west for a few years off and on.. used to drive from salt lake to park city to work so theres no such thing as "stranded" for me.. the funniest part about 93, i had been going out from the bottom of the driveway(parked down there because even with a 4x4 i knew i wasnt getting out with that much snow) since the day the snow stopped, and had almost gotten to where i could get my jeep in to the house by wednesday,,when the national guard came in with a hummer.. they were going door to door making sure no one was stranded.. lol 5 days after the storm?? gimme a break.. i did appreciate them goin through the last of the big drifts though.. walking in and out was getting old..
I live in Mobile, Alabama, and in 1996, we had about eight inches of snow, school was cancelled and everything. That was the last time it snowed here. Makes me sad. I miss the snow.
Well I live in the northeast and we always get snow, but I'm so used to everyone making a mad dash to the store before the storm. It's just human nature. People like to go into survival mode, buying all the water gallons, etc. I just make sure I have enough soy milk on hand for Jade, vodka and weed for me and the boyfriend. I always have food in the freezer. My mom had a schizophrenic mother, she's dead now. I didn't really know her because she was crazy, and only met her twice in my life. The last time I met her was a few years ago, and I hate to say that I'm not sorry I didn't know her. But anyway, when my mom and aunts were young and in my grandmother's care and there would be any kind of a thunder and lightning storm she would take the girls and hide in the closet because she thought it would be the end of the world. She also tried drowning my mother so you can't really blame her. It's the disease, alcohol, and the drugs. I love being snowed in though. I have a 4x suv and I'm not afraid to drive in the snow, but I still love that snowed in feeling.
lol thanks. She died from lung cancer though. But she really was a wacko. I can make it even more exciting. She was also a jehovas witness. Sp? She was doing alright for awhile when she married this one man, but when he died she really went crazy! I actually had to help give her a bath, and she made me go in there while she was bathing, and she was srubbing the walls with the bar of soap!!!! Ugh It's sad, but I have no feelings for her so I can laugh about the stuff now.
Laughter is the best medicine. It's always helped me. It's even nice to laugh during inappropriate times. It's great. I want to meet the one who invented laughter. I'm sure it's an article on Wikipedia somewhere... or I could just be bullshitting. You'll never know. Because I don't even know.
well laughing is so natural that I'm sure it just happened one day, and the person said omg what am I doing???? Some people feel uncomfortable while laughing.
