    Hi all,

Well after lurking the site for a while, decided to make my first post (in the acid section, where I enjoy it most hehe :)

I'm from South Africa and have been taking acid on occasion since I was about 18 (I'm 32 now). Started off as nature trips during local surfing expeditions but lately - over the past say year or two, they have mostly been "technology" trips whereby I watch high def movies or play games and stuff. Pretty cool, although from what I see here you guys are more into the spiritual side of things. Hope my techno trips don't sit to badly with the purists among you.

Anyway, take care all (you all seem to be a cool bunch), and I'll be back to chat here and there when time permits.

    Welcome FX!
If any 'spiritual' person would not accept you because of your different interests, then maybe they need to reconsider the meaning of the word.
    Namaste :D

    Thanks for the welcome RELAYER.

Sorry if i came across as a little paranoid... people generally do tend to judge each other a bit much these days, especially on forums. But yeah I agree, hopefully the spiritual guys and gals won't mind me dropping some acid and watching Spiderman 3 on Blu-ray hehe :D Watched Pan's Labyrinth on acid a few weeks back, and it was pretty cool as well.

i dont really like watching movies on acid, but going to the city or doing shit with technology is so much more intense/fun to me than nature trips, which are amazing to begin with

my time on LSD was actually very technologically oriented
I'm a 3D modeller and on LSD for the majority of the time, I was actually seeing everything in wireframe like 3D geometry.
I actually consider technology a counterpart to my spiritual development.
and find LSD to be a very techie drug cause its so electric

so no the techie stuff registers perfectly fine with me atleast
not that it would so much matter though

Welcome to our little family dear neighbur!
Without technology I don't think we'll be able to make LSD even.

You relly remind me of myself when I was younger! I also started my career as 3D modeler and animator and had a bunch of projets involving whole cartoon made completely by computer, before Toy Story, it was just unfortunate that we didn't have money to finance the whole project at that time.

    Thanks for the welcome.

Please bear with my new nickname... I wasn't thinking when initially registering and used my most common nickname. And because I have an anal brother in law who uses my pc - he often uses my browsers history and he knows my regular nick so he looks up what I've been chatting about. Don't want unnecessary trouble.

    So yeah, FX = Chobe.

I believe you have to be a member to PM, you become a member after a certain amount of posts, like 30 or 50 or something, and the Guest under your name will change :)

    Hey FX! Welcome!
I'd say I am a cross between the technorati trippers and the old skool hippie trippers. I guess it depends on the mood. But I do find that, for some reason, computers, electronics, and technology go really well with LSD. I love tripping and watching great flicks on HDTV or watching fractal patterns on the PC. It's no surprise that Steve Jobs from Apple went to Switzerland for the celebration of Albert Hoffman's 100th birthday.
