bullshit download

    i tried to download the rome: total war demo from activision today. it said 9 hours and 40something minutes so i took a walk, ate dinner and had a nap. when i came back a few minutes ago it said that the connection reset or something like that and it was only 45% (it should have been almost done) im going to try again tonight and check on it in the morning. could anyone help remedy my situation

    You could use a third-party program to download, such as Get-Right or Download Accelerator, which have resume functions.

    Unless you're getting it off of IRC, in which case: get broadband.

    irc? get right? download accelerator? me no understand, me not know too much about da computers.

    do what i do when i'm not at college.

    have a friend get it.

    (or get one of those prog's mentioned above, i used them a little)

    I can't stand bittorrent, you have to download a dialer in order for it to work...
    and how the hell do you open those files???

    No dialer required, the only thing that will require a dialer is phone scam software. Just download a .torrent client. ABC torrent is what I use.

    but i try to avoid bt files
