Without asking "why", anything become plausible... a person who never asks why is open to any leadership that shows itself to be great - and they will never know the difference. Its a matter of allowing someone to blindfold you and lead you over the edge of a cliff, or at some point stopping and asking "why am i walking in this direction". A concept developed in the most early of years... naivety is merely the lack of "why". So now here we are fully capable of continually asking and answering why (as is the natural order of things)... and as it seems the older we get, the more the concept is beat out of us. The more into the system we get, the less why becomes important.... the blindfold grows tighter, the blind lead the blind to blindfold the next generation and we arrive as we are. So I pose the question... why ask why?
People ask "Why?" less as they grow older because the world becomes more and more obvious to them. You learn to understand the world, a world that's not very peaceful nor nice, and it takes most of the "Why?" out of you. I don't see it as a bad thing, it's a sign of maturity. Eventually one has to accept the world for what it is and try to find happiness within this shithole, instead of just asking "Why?". You are missing so many of life's little specks of light. Sometimes you just have to accept the inevitable, and go out to a bar with your friends instead.
You have fallen victim to the plague.... Such questioning of things is absolutely necessary to the continual advancement of our race. To ask why is to see the light creating those few specks you see through the blindfold. I'd like to see thenmax (if i spelled correctly) chime in on this one
It's not like people stop questioning "Why?". They just don't make questioning everything their first concern.
i question why a lot. but not for everything. i question things i'm pretty well read on, and continue to read up on.
When I was in high school I used to have written on my cellphone screen "Wonder Why". About two years ago I changed that for "Learning".
i'll never stop asking why too many morons and gurus out there who talk out there ass to not question
Why is not really important to me anymore. Things are the way that they are. I cannot change the world before it is ready to be changed. Why is not important to me. The question for me is "How?" I know I can't change the world but I can alter my world so it does not effect me. Sure I question other people and their motivations. But other people do not really effect my life. I accept that people are going to be as stupid as they are going to be for as long as they need to be. My lifestyle does not depend on where other people are at. I know the government and the world is screwed up. What can I do about it? I can focus on the "how?" and design my life so it does not effect me. The state of the US government does not effect my earning or acquiring wealth. I do not know why we are here in this world. But we are and the question becomes how are we going to live. It is not that I do not care why. It is just why is not a factor. I see the world and the why does not matter. I see people and their motivation ,no matter how nutty, does not effect me. I can see the manipulation of the masses. The why is irrelevant. I see people trying to deceive others and me. I see right through it and focus on how I can separate myself from this person. Very interesting question though. I always enjoy your posts.
yes everything becomes possible, including collective mass suicide in complete ignorance. =^^= .../\...
If man is meant to commit mass suicide in collective ignorance then that is its destiny. However, I am meant to be here for my own destiny. The individual dose not have to choose to be within the collective destiny. There is another path. Within the chaos of the collective destiny there is a way for the individual to create his or her own individual evolution. Then they are not victims of life. They are masters of life, and humanities last hope.
bud dry is exactly what went through my head as i opened this thread...i remember those commercials form long long ago...
This shows you are selfish because you think only how to potect yourself and not how to change the whole thing, and why is more important than how because we shoul tryto change things, and you should find out how... but if you don't know why that things are happening you couldn't answer this question: How can we change it?
And as a result your life will lead you... ? To understand how, we must understand why. Without why, there is no reason to how... why even bother? Whats the point of changing an ideal set, *why* do you feel the need? "I do not know why we are here in this world. But we are and the question becomes how are we going to live." Your focus has only been turned to survival because of such corruption that wishes to remove your focus from "why". As long as you are distracted by TV, the girl next door, movies, drugs, alcohol, work, and scraping up enough pennies to buy gas.... you will not focus on the question of why, which DOES lead to the answer of our purpose and DOES solve Again, a victim of the plague... How may we have how without why, and what is how? So do I... And I will openly admit it changed my then kiddish view of "why", at least the question seemed to have less meaning. The saying got pretty big, I can recall that as approx the point it seemed to me that nobody cared anymore. Was I right or wrong, I was neither, I was of course not informed in either respect, but the idea was implanted and commercially/socially accepted... at least in my eyes, which are eyes anyone may have - this is extremely significant.
Actually it shows I understand the question. The greatest gift you can give to the world is to be strong within yourself. It is only the individual that can change the world. It does not matter why. Things are the way that they are. I understand very well.
