kind of embarassing that the dems are split along race lines so obviously. eek. yikes. WTH? i know what the hell, people are people.
This is up on Drudge: RASMUSSEN: Clinton leads Obama among white voters 41% to 27%... Obama leads Clinton among African-American voters 66% to 16%...
Most of the democrats I know prefer Obama. I like him a lot better then Hillary. Personally I'm a Kucinich man.
And yeah, it's not a surprise that a lot of black people would want a black candidate. After being kept out of the political sphere till 40 years ago, black leaders will want a black president even if he isn't as qualified. Thinking that's racist is sorta missing any perspective.
because the white voters are still overwhelmingly for hilary, that's why. i think obama kicks fucking ass. i'd love to watch him in office, at least i'd be able to sit through a state of the union address for once in my life. hilary can suck a donkey dick. (cause i'm all mature like that.)
obama sure can talk, though. at least he's good looking. though i must confess, i'd rather the black voters were against hillary for her policies and criminal nature, rather than just FOR obama because he's half black instead of for his policies. that's small-minded. and vice versa. still, it's fucking badass to not just have a buncha ugly white guys int he running, and yes, edwards is ugly.
Hmm, Kucinich is too underrated. He is a better candidate than both of them, has better morals than the both of them. (IMO)
Obama, Hillary, Ghouliani, McCain.... they're all the same to me. They all say what the public wants to hear and the people gullibly believe them.
Maybe they don't live in an area which had a large war that was ignored by the Clintons, or don't Hillary cozying up to HMO's at the expense of the American people... I tend to agree with you. But any of the democrats are better then your Huckabee's or Romney's. Insane assholes. And the Ron Paul Revolution.
i dunno, i have to cynically agree somewhat with matt that really, i don't see what difference any of them actually make, though i still vote in the vague hope something good will happen. like wishing on a lucky star. at any rate, if one of these less than stellar people is going to be in office, i'm going to hope it's someone who's fun to listen to and watch.
Democrats make it look like a shallow race where only one guy gets to join a fraternity, and Republicans make it look like they're running for governor of a 3-person town, and independents are the only ones that say what they think, but they must be political idiots to run in a third party.
The next president might get to elect up to three supreme court judges. Don't let mild cynicism let you ignore the most evil kinds of pricks coming and and making all kinds of horrible descions regarding healtcare and social liberties.
It amazes me how blind people are to this... even intelligent people. They are all just political machines. Everything that comes out of their mouth is based on careful statistical records. Those people do not utter a single word that could possibly make them loose a vote. It's as much of a correlated system as anything. ...and yet people are dumb enough to be overtaken by Obama's charistma and speeches (In which he says absolutely nothing other than repeating slogans about some sort of "change" which he never truly explains).
haha! I couldn't agree more. presidential candidates have no charisma or personality, or if they do it's several miles below the gloss. they don't even talk, they just intone uncomplicated and vague crowd-pleasing slogans. anyone who would actually want to be the president in the first place has to have something wrong with them, and as far as I'm concerned they all just come off as wooden, languid non-entities.
though it is kinda funny that we've neatly stepped away from the tidy racial divide within the democratic party. apparently it's not just republican rednecks who have troubles with it. at least the dems have a woman and a black man in the race. still, it's funny that they're splitting the party on a racial divide. still...HILLARY? jeez, people.
