Patriot Acts I & II National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive (NSPD-51 and HSPD-20) (Public Law 109-364) "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) Military Commissions Act of 2006 2008 Defense Authorization Bill (H.R. 1585) [Pending] Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1955/S. 1959). [Pending] When are they going to pull the trigger and put their plans for martial law into action? Me thinks soon.... WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!
i read the government print of the homegrown terrorism prevention act... can you say "ambigous"?? yet most of the public hasn't even heard of any of these, other than the patriot act. you also forgot the real id act. hmm.. next 10 years should be some of the most interesting ever.
yeah, I emailed my congressman telling him to oppose the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act. You should too. My biggest issue at the moment is personal privacy. Nothing gets me more worked up than warrentless wiretapping, and the new way that the FBI will track you by using the 911 locater in your cell phone (I'm safe though. The first time I've appreciated my piece of shit cell phone ).
My biggest concern wouldn't be privacy but that they have the power to ship you off to some prison in egypt or syria...
The Congress and all legislative bodies will not help us. Nor will the 2-party political system of control. They are aware of the totalitarian measures being taken now by the administration and they are remaining silent on it, as is the media for the most part. The fact that this thread was posted in the "conspiracy" section instead of the "protest" section is sad. If we are going to effect change, it'll have to come in the form of non-violent civil disobedience/direct action. It's a time-honored tactic of resistance and is always made inevitable by the power-that-controls. If you want to see a better world, you're going to have to get that cute little butt off your computer chair...and plan actions of resistance...in the streets...non-violently. We are Freedom. We are Change. We sing while we fight. Viva La Revolucion.
The privacy issue is why I don't want a new car with all that OnStar bullshit and I NEVER use my cell phone.
it doesnt worry me, we have no freedoms already. its all propaganda everyone thinks this country is great but its all in their imagination not in reality. We dont go by the constitution and pretend that we do.
post 911 america is such bull shit. i have a buddy who got busted growing off a warrantless wire tap and another buddy of mine who smoked weed once in his entire life was arrested and put in jail for two weeks before he was even told what his charge was. apparently they thought he was a meth dealer but found him clean and released him. and their only evidence against him was an anonamous phone call. another buddy of mine also told me he knows two people in california that got drug charges from warrentless wiretaps. i think this problem is a lot bigger than most people think.
Look at this; http://www.global-security-solutions.com/ProA-GSMInterceptandTracking.htm If you want privacy, turn the damn phone off. What works me up is RFID chips in everything, they use them for public transport passes in the UK, it's in the new UK passport and from what I hear you guys in the states have got it in money, the debate there having at the moment is that most of these emit a signal, so in theory, the man can watch us all from orbit! If you think thats not possible, just take a look at google earth, focus on your local road, can you see your car and back-yard? But I have the solution, tin foil...
