ok well their are like 3 different groups of ppl that are around here for cannabis actavism but like they are all disorganized and well bad at protesting stuff basiclly they are all a wreck, my question is i want to try to make one big group so what should i do to try to get them all to like join up into one big one. i have a feeling because im young they wont listen to me so what could i do to try to get their attention and show that it would be a good idea

    Hey how's it going man?

Anyway, do you live around/near a campus? The easiest way to run an organization is there (especially if you're young!). If not though, I think I still have some advice.

I am an officer of NORML at FSU (hence my screenname haha). Anyway here's some ideas:
    - I'd probably find out when they meet, scope out whichever one you like best. What are the names, because if it's a national organization (SSDP, NORML, MPP etc etc) then you can get lots of information, help and even supplies from the national peoples.
    - Go to the meetings, approach whoever is running the thing and tell them you want to help out and you have some ideas.

Pretty much try and communicate with one group of people and get your foot in the door to running the thing a bit. If you work with a smaller group, I think you'll appreciate the quality of your work more. It's more mobile, and you can still contact the other groups and the public when you need the numbers (trust me, with a bit of advertising you can get a whole bunch of people in less than a month).

Try and educate all the members you work with, and try to educate yourself too! Make sure you know all about everything you can learn about pot, the politics related to it and everything you can think to know. Make sure you get a lot of different sources too, you never know who's talking out of their ass.

After you are super-pot-master-champion, then organize something. You're young, and lots of pot-heads are young (and angry at the government and wanting to do something!), and all of these people have facebook, myspace, etc etc. Make a group on their and actually hold meetings (Like I said, if you live near a campus, they have rooms you can use for meetings.).

I could go on about this forever, so if you read this, reply and I'll reply again.

    Good luck man!
