When the natural odor of humanity is in need of cleansing. Flowers smell like flowers for a reason. Perhaps such ideas were the beginning of our downfall. That said I won't be the first to funk up the bus... but a move to eliminate the negative connotation to "BO" would only be beneficial. Just remember, born and raised in such smell you wouldn't know the difference, and you wouldn't assume stink.
Search for the clear and concise reason... and I doubt you will find it to be humans woke up one day and realized they smelled like.... humans.
Youre right, people dont just wake up one day all of a sudden and realize thing slike that....we always had the sense of smell, we can tell what we like, theres bound to be distasteful odours.
some people smell bad we wash for a reason and if you are extremely hormonal and your pheromones are very potent and you can't shower every hour, perfume and deodorant helps alot
In saying man is born in a distasteful odor... we are opening the doors to greed itself. At such a point the notion of "better" as a rejection of nature comes about - along with the idea of one human may be better than another... perhaps things hints at the true meaning to the story of adam and eve... To seperate by odor is just as seperation by color/height/nose shape... etc etc. To know we are all truly created equal is to know we are all created as we should be... an idea we may remember at any time, and for the benefit of all. Evolution decided such silly things to be factors in our subconscious... but we can choose to evolve beyond natural evolution by continually evolving thought.
But who decided humans smelled distasteful? A preference to odors, sure... but if nothing else the human stench should be very pleasurable.... what is inherantly "good" about the smell of a flower? How can you define a good or bad smell, why is there a differentiation in the first place?
You and her would get along very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN82Y9BwpVs Your closed mindset of today does not allow you to see the possibilities of thousands of years ago... nor does it allow you to see the possibilities of thousands of years from now. If you truly believe the world's first priority was bathing many thousands of years ago (or hundreds...) you have absolutely no understanding of history and zero appreciation for nature.
i never said it was a priority to bathe...just said they recognized people smelling foul and other things that smelled badly
My point was not bathing... it was the understanding that people smelled as they smelled and it was fine. Evolution dictates what smells good and bad... such things are developed over many years of learning whats good and bad to begin with. Sulfur stinks because in nature, you don't want to be in a place full of sulfure... you get used to these smells because although bad at first, if you survive there is no reason to interpret such smells as "bad". So now... what is inherantly bad about the human smell? At what point did flowers become a "better" smell than a human? You see where I'm goin? Reread my posts maybe it'll make sense.
Early man had an auxiliary scent organ located under his arm which allowed him to smell a menstruating female a mile away I only hope he had the good sense to stay away Hotwater
Normally I would just not reply. But I wanted you to know I will not dignify such a statement with a response... I can only assume such ignorance is said to incite a reaction... Of which you will recieve only...
Turbocharged by Mary Jane herself. She sure does know how to empower a mind... Philosophy must revolve around the realization of truth... as such a true philosopher does not think of himself as arriving at merely philosophy... to do so is to belittle the importance of logical thought.
its not ignorant...we aren't equal in terms of evolution. society dictates that we are equal, sure. but getting down and dirty, we aren't equal - we all don't have the same DNA, bone structures aren't the same, muscles insertions aren't the same. some are stronger, some are weaker, some jump higher. some are smarter - i could go on... in these terms we are not equal, and to beleive so is ignorant.
