this might get deleted or whatever but i want to ask here cause this is where i post most and i kind of know some of you guys. so if anyones looking for the most gorgeous (though rustic) place you could imagine right on a piece of bc beach, check this thread out- http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=280898
sounds amazing! too bad I don't live in Canada. Good luck on finding a roommate. I don't mind you posting off-topic here so it won't be taken down.
omg i love bc i would like to live there.. sounds so nice.. what do you mean by rustic? are you goin to grow food and vegetables? or the place is rustic with rustic home appliances? or both?? im planning to move to vancouver soon =o]
i guess you just better move here goatboy thanks for letting me post it here, earthy mama. rlee, the thread i posted in the canada forum describes it pretty well. basically, there is no clothes dryer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, or freezer. the main part of the cabin is tiny, theres no couch or tv or internet either. you have to walk ten mins down a steep wooded trail to get to it or bring anything to it (and up said trail to go anywhere). you gotta be down with living simply (the best way to live ). firewood needs to be collected off the beach and the place needs repairs and such and ill probably want help making gardens.... so yeah, stuff like that.
Wow thats similiar to exactly what I'm looking for atm but it's so far away, bc.. I'm so desperate to move out that I actually considered it for a while until I realised alot of things make it literally impossible, lol. I'm starting to hate New York City, prices for tiny condos/apartments are fucking outrageous, ugh.
Give me a couple years as I need to finish up my education In the mean time you could always move here as I'm sure you would make a way better roomy than what I am currently stuck with
I'd take the offer. how soon are you looking for a cabinmate? I don't really live anywhere anymore, although I won't be back on the NA continent until july... if you've got someone by then I'll just stick to my original plan of biking from east coast to west and becoming a self-realisation monk good luck!
oilymoily, i hoping to find someone within the next few months. ill keep you in mind i have pics now if anyone wants to see (even if just out of curiosity) pm me!
