So it's been about 9 months give or take since I changed my hair for the better. Just a few things feel iffy.

My hair still feels a bit itchy in general. I mean I washed my scalp this morning and it still feels quite itchy now. Maybe it's because I wear a headband all the time.

Also, my hair feels like it's all growing together on top of my scalp, rather than in seperate bundles. I pull bits apart quite often but it seems to be getting worse.

Can anyone help me with this?

mine grows together like crazy too. i find its easier to rip apart in the shower when you have soap in it.
are you making sure to get all the soap out of your hair when you rinse it? what kind of soap are you using? ive heard that tea tree dr bronners helps a lot with itching.

get some plain old tee tree oil, its expensive but sooo worth it. put a little tiny dab on your finger and rub it into the itchy spots. works like a charm and smells great to. If you are spraying with salt water that will make it itchy, also (depending on where your from) its winter. itchyness is common for the season. as for them growing together wanderinblues has it right.... of course you could let them grow together and have some big fat nasty(in a good way) congos. Ive got acouple mega fatties and i love them the most.

when I had dreads I let them grow together until I had only twelve dreadies, then I used a crochet hook and made them real tight and they didn't really have that problem. As for the itch you probably just have a dry scalp.

But the congoing is normal and can turn out awesome!

Yeah, it's pretty cold at the moment. This morning I noticed condensation all over my hair. I'll try the tea tree oil, that seems like a good idea.
