Shy question about diphenhydramine (benadryl)

ok so... little sky to ask this.. are there any effects to plug it?
is it worth doing?
I'm interested... bc I've done this before with other sorts of drugs and love it... just never with benadryl.

Please let me know if you know anything about this.

I'd personally reconsider my drug use if I'm shoving shit up my ass to get high, but that's me.

 

those pills aren't not meant to be taken at 10x the regular dose. Taking that much of the other ingredients in benadryl can be deadly and really fuck up your brain permanently

 

take some acid or eat some shrooms, you will like those waaaay better!

When I was a freshman in high school I did Dramamine once or twice, which I think is a lot like Benadryl. Totally worthless, not fun, waste of time. It really fucks up your depth perception. Sometimes, by multiple feet. I remember laying down on my bed a good 6 feet from my doorknob and I thought I was within reaching distance. Don't do it. As a matter of fact, you should probably stay away from most legal drugs. They are still legal for a reason, and that reason is that they are no fun.

Doing diphenhydramine once isnt going to kill you, stop bitching, its no worse than DXM. Its only worth trying it once, maybe twice, but it gets old and boring quick.

Also may I note the delerium on this trip, it is an intense one!

 

hes definately no fucking *genius, there are a ton of legal drugs I can think of off the top of my head that are very worthwhile (I'm not talking about analogues either) Now if by legal drugs he meant OTC drugs then yea....hes pretty much right.

I'm sure you COULD plug them, but they are so cheap, is it worth the shittiness (quite literally) of having to plug something? I would plug LSD or E (in fact I hope to the next time I acquire either) but that's about it.

I am, however, definitely considering tripping on benadryl soon. I want to see sort of what Datura or a similar dissociative is like (how similar are the two?), and its just so easy and cheap. I've never had actual dead-on movie-like visual hallucinations before and while I think I'll will hate the shit out of it, I surprised myself to find out that I liked DXM so much, so maybe I will enjoy this trip.

 

they're all similar, the anticholinergics. diphenhydramine, dimenhydramine, benztropine, atropine, hyoscamine, scopolamine... they all give you the same somatic effects (dry mouth, ataxia, blurred vision), I thought they were pretty dysphoric. datura (atropine/scopolamine) was pretty nasty. the dissociation is completely different than DXM. I've had all of them.

and to trippyhippy: it's not the toxicity that may kill you, it's the stupor which clouds your consciousness that may lead to your demise.

it's best you have someone look after you...chances are, you won't be aware of what you're doing.

 

I dont know, I kinda enjoyed benadryl the first time, but I took like 150mgs. I dont like to be delirious, but about 150mgs is enough to make you relax, not hallucinate. the second time it gave me what I can only describe as restless leg, so Im sure its not healthy to use more than recommended. dont plug it, thats only for GOOD drugs. theres too much other shit in them thats going to dissolve in your pooper.

 

So I took 300mg of benadryl on two seperate occasions, this past week... but they knocked me out before anything really happened, with the exception of right before I fell asleep the second time; I had an energy drink right in front of me that I specifically bought to keep me awake, but for some reason I remember thinking that it wasn't time to drink it yet, and I could stand to wait 5 more minutes...then another 5, and another, then should lay down for a little bit before I would drink it, and then I fell asleep. So I guess I was probably delirious but I couldn't say for sure.

It's a weird drug (but what hallucinogen isn't...the mind is weird to say the least). If I was actually under the influence of it for the last few minutes of my second session, it seems to me to be just a drowzy stupor that would be impossible for anyone at all to enjoy like other drugs, or even really 'trip' off of in the traditional sense.

 

acetylcholine is the excitatory neurotransmitter responsible for memory, REM sleep, and motor function. when you take an anticholinergic like benedryl, you are blocking acetylcholine from the binding sites, giving opposite effects. they're not exactly enjoyable, but oddly enough, some people enjoy them
