Has anyone every applied for or obtained a job through their town's human resources department? I really think it would be one of my best options to try and go for, the best possible jobs and wages for my level of accomplishment...I just feel like it would be a bit tricky.
Haha Jerry I think Im looking for more of an office job. Hospital? Thats cool! I just filled out an application to volunteer there, but what do you do for work at a hospital?
high school. and a year and a half of college, but no credentials. So all I can really get is min wage stuff....Im looking for something which will be a bit better.
Mhm. But not now. Its something I need to meditate more on while I do things Ive always wanted to do, and learn some new skills. Like Napolean Dynamite style.
teh gov't hereabouts has a student job program thing set up, for high school and uni students (different programs for each though i think). i applied for it once and got an interview, but the freaky-ass lady didnt decide to offer me the job (probably for teh best, she was terrifying)
Nah, this states pretty bad about providing those kinds of services. I can teach you the ways of breaking hearts and picking fights though.
I bet'chad swoon over me. I'd just need to slip into my tight jeans, tip my hat to you, and `all ya 'mam'.
my boyfriend works on the fire department, which is paid through the town...but he isn't really associated with the town "people." My mom is getting a part time job with the town and they're giving her full benefits, great pay, and pretty decent hours.
I think you should sacrifice a year or at least half a year in an internship.. even if it's unpaid.. and have a another job (any job) that pays on the side.. because once you're known and hopefully liked in a company where you'll be an intern, there's good chances of getting a decent job there once your internship is done. I however do not know if you can do an internship without being enrolled in school in Canada. Or anywhere except Europe, in fact.
She's basically running a high rise retirement home. All she'll really be doing is making sure they have everything they need, taking care of purchasing, accounting, accounts payable...etc. A receptionist job should be easy to get with the town. Even for the DPW...if you feel like moving to a shitty town in Massachusetts, I could get you a job with the wonderful Department of Public Works here-haha
what happened to the florist job? even if it's at a&p, being a florist suits you so much more than any suit job would
